In this paper,the phenomena of triboelectrification between the three kinds of PTFE composites(Cu/PTFE,CuO/PTFE and Gr/PTFE)and the 45 steel was studied under the process of friction and wear.The influence factors of triboelectrification were analyzed.The effects on the friction and wear properties of Cu/PTFE composites were discussed.The relationship between voltage of triboelectrification and tribological properties of Cu/PTFE was investigated.Influence of voltage of triboelectrification on the friction and wear mechanism of Cu/PTFE composites was analyzed.The thickness of 45 steel surface was studied by using 3D laser scanning microscope under voltage of triboelectrification.The microstructrue and elemental composition of the transfer film were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and energy dispersive spectroscopy(EDS).The triboelectrification and tribological properties of PTFE composites against 45 steel were studied in order to obtain a new method to control tribological performances.Through the analysis and research,the main conclusions are listed below:1.The influence factors of triboelectrification of PTFE compositesThe voltage of triboelectrification of PTFE composites increased with the increase of load.With the increase of velocity,the voltage of triboelectrification of PTFE composites steadily increased.The voltage of triboelectrification of PTFE composites increased with increase of filler particle size when filler content is definite.As the increase of filler content,the voltage of triboelectrification of composites with conductive filler(such as Cu or Gr)firstly increased and then decreased,but increased for PTFE composites with non-conductive filler(such as CuO).The voltage of triboelectrification of PTFE composites decreased with increase of dielectric constant of composites.2.The influence factors of tribological properties of Cu/PTFE compositesWith increase of load,the friction coefficient of Cu/PTFE composites decreased,but increased for wear loss of composites.The friction coefficient of Cu/PTFE composites reduced and the wear loss increased with increase of velocity.As increase of filler particle size,friction coefficient and wear loss of Cu/PTFE composites went steadily up.The friction coefficient of Cu/PTFE composites increased and wear loss firstly decreased and then increased with the enlarged filler content.When filler content was 10wt%,the wear loss of composites was lowest.3.The relationship between triboelectrification and tribological properties of Cu/PTFE compositesThe friction coefficient of Cu/PTFE composites decreases and wear loss increased with increase of triboelectrification of composites.4.The effect of triboelectrification of Cu/PTFE composites on wear mechanismThe phenomena of triboelectrification was happened when Cu/PTFE composites against 45 steel.On the one hand,triboelectrification would enrich filler content on the surface of 45 steel and promote the formation of transfer film,so as to optimize the friction properties of Cu/PTFE composites.On the other hand,the voltage of triboelectrification promote filler particle where is in the composition transfer to frictional surface and further improve the friction and wear properties of composites. |
