Flocculating technique is one of important method for wastewater treatment.Therefore,the core of the wasterwater treatment process is to select the optimal coagulant which is simple to producted,cost-effective and non-toxic.Accordingly,study and development of safety and efficient coagulants has been an important research field at home and abroad,and also,such research work which is of great significance.In this thesis,maifanite,a natural mineral material,was used as the raw material,and a new kind of inorganic mineral material coagulant was preparied under normal temperature condition.Then,the characteristics,application performance and flocculate mechanism of maifanite coagulant were also dicussed in this thesis.In this study,the coagulant was prepared by maifanite and acid,maifanite was used as raw mineral materials,mineral acid as a modifier material.Through systematically single factor experiments,the particle size of the raw material.The effect of flocculation were investigated by calcination temperature,acid-modified species and acid concentration,The optimum conditions of maifanite coagulant was as shown:grinding the raw material 3.5 min,the acid modifiers was used concentration of 25%and under normal temperature conditions thoroughly mixed stand,,and drying semi-solid gelatinous coagulant at 95 ?for 2 h and placed 105 ? drying 12 h,Then pulverized that to obtained a powdery coagulant.Characterized the raw maifanite and self-made optimum coagulant.by SEM,XRD and specific surface area analysis.The results showed that:The structure of self-made coagulant is similar to raw maifanite,which shows a lamellar structure and the surface has aggregate and porous structure.The specific surface area is reducer than the raw material.After modified by acid,the hole structure of maifanite is full of acid soluble substances,which can play a role of flocculation.The specific surface area also increased after ultrasonic washing.The optimum hydrodynamic conditions of maifanite coagulant was confirmed by flocculation experiments,Then the impact of coagulant dosage was discussed by water sample pH,temperature on the flocculation effect through single factor experiment examines in detail.Comparing treatment effect with PAC,PFS for simulated water samples and the campus landscape by measuring the turbidity,CODcr,BODs,TOC and others to evaluated flocculation property.The results showed that:the optimal flocculation can be obtained under the following conditions:dosage of 600mg/L,the water sample temperature 30 ?,pH of the water sample 8:,then simulated water samples from 212 NTU turbidity down to 2.73 NTU,turbidity removal rate of 98.71%.we also confirmed that maifanite coagulant had wider scope,in the pH range of 5 to 11,the water temperature in the range of 15?40 ?,the flocculation has treatment effectly.Then coagulant mechanism of flocculation process was analyzed by SEM and Zeta potential.We found the maifanite coagulant mechanism was the adsorption electrical neutralization.Finally,the compounded by maifanite coagulant and commercially available PAC was also tested,we found that:ensure the treatment effect,compounded could reduce the dosage and generate volume floc effectively.
