One major hidden trouble of the safety of municipal solid waste(MSW)landfill structure is the bad permeability after rainfall,meanwhile,a large amount of stagnant water above the landfill is also the potential source of increasing the amount of the landfill leachate rise.The study of strengthening infiltration capability of closure system is an urgent need to ensure MSW landfill’s working stable and safe.In this study,the suction of capillary drainage belt is used to strengthen the drainage capacity of vegetation layer,so as to achieve the purpose of enhancing the drainage capacity of landfill closure system.On the basis of a research on aspects of the structure of MSW landfill closure system and the blocking reasons,etc.at home and abroad,the effect of rainfall intensity,soil properties and placement of drainage belt,etc.are determined by simulating atmospheric rainfall and single factor analysis.By using orthogonal test method,the paper studies the variation regularity of sand,silty clay and clay supporting soil layer,and puts forward the optimum arrangement of the selected horizontal range.The study shows that the application of the capillary drainage belt to the soil layer in the landfill closure system can significantly enhance its rainwater drainage performance,and the worse the drainage performance of the closure system is,the better the effect of the capillary drainage belt is.Therefore,by using capillary belt,siphon and water surface tension to strengthen the infiltration capability of the closure system of MSW landfill is feasible in theory and practice.On the one hand,it reduces the amount of landfill leachate,and on the other hand,protects the structural safety and stability of the landfill.Good economic,social and environmental benefits can be achieved.This research can provide the idea and basis for the enhancement of the infiltration capability of closure system.
