Soil actinomyeete XN-04 which could produce herbicidal active metabolites was found by bioscreening.The strain was identified and its herbicidal active metabolites were studied.With the help of solvent extraction,silica gel column chromatography,thin layer chromatography,and high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC)and other ways,two pure compounds with herbicidal activities were isolated from the fermentation broth,named XN-04-A4 and XN-04-B2.The spectra data of MS,1H-NMR,13C-NMR and others were used to identify those compounds.The molecular formula of the compound XN-04-A4 was confirmed as C15H10O5,with a molecular weight of 270.The molecular formula of the compound XN-04-B2 was confirmed as C15H23NO4,with a molecular weight of 281.Compared with the known compounds in literatures and compounds database,the structure of XN-04-A4 and XN-04-B2 were as same as Genistein and Naramycin A.In this researeh,analysis methods which the herbicidal activity compounds XN-04-A4 and XN-04-B2 were analysed by the reverse phase HPLC were established.In addition,the herbicidal spectrum of two compounds were bioassayed with the small cup method.The strain was identified by 16S rDNA gene sequence analysis and the study of morphological,physiological and biochemical characteristics.The results showed that the strain XN-04 belonged to Streptomyces,which the homology with Streptomyces galilaeus reached 99%.
