With the development of industry,the industrial production makes the problems of environmental pollution much more serious.The problems of air,soil and water pollution affect the human life more seriously than before.The way to low the cost and to get a higher efficiency of solution to solve the environmental pollution are gradually getting the attention of the community.Particularly,the community invest a lot of resources to the solution of water pollution.Much more catalysts for the degradation of pollutants in water are being found.Particularly,titanium dioxide has attracted people's attention because of its non-toxic properity and the ability of being used for two times.Because the band gap of anatase TiO2 is 3.2e V and the efficiency of visible light absorption is low,the degradation ability is limited.Therefore,many scholars have done a lot of research on TiO2 to improve its photocatalytic efficiency under visible light.Particularly,the ion doping has a great influence on the photocatalytic performance.Some scholars have carried out the research of Y,La,Ce,Yb,Nd,Dy,Eu,Gd and other rare earth elements doping on the TiO2 to study the photocatalytic performance.And the effects of Nd/Er,Nd/Eu,Eu/Ho,Eu/Yb and Gd/La doped on the photocatalytic properties of TiO2 were also studied.Firstly,the synthesis of TiO2 photocatalyst was prepared by sol-hydrothermal method with tetrabutyl titanate four as titanium source in the article.In this process,the effects of hydrothermal time and hydrothermal temperature on the properties of TiO2 photocatalyst were investigated.Finally,the optimum preparation conditions and the effects of various factors on the photocatalytic activity of TiO2 were obtained.In this paper,the effect of Ce doping and Yb doping and mix doping of them on the photocatalytic performance of TiO2 was investigated on the basis of the optimum preparation conditions of pure TiO2.They studied the effect of Ce doped and Yb doped in TiO2.The products obtained from the hydrothermal process were calcinedand the effect of calcination temperature on TiO2 was studied.The morphology,structure and composition were analyzed by using XRD,UV-Vis,SEM,TEM,BET,FT-IR,Zeta,TG-DTA and other testing methods.We choose the methyl-orange solution to be degraded to characterize the degradation ability of TiO2.The conclusions are listed as follows:1.The TiO2 was synthesized by sol hydrothermal method.When the hydrothermal temperature was 180? and the hydrothermal time were six hours,the degradation rate of TiO2 was the highest.2.When the doping amount of Ce was 0.1%,the degradation rate was the highest.We choose the optimum preparation conditions to prepare TiO2 doped with Ce.However,the doping of Ce can inhibit the photocatalytic activity of TiO2.With the increase of doping amount of Ce,the particle size of the sample decreases gradually,and the specific surface area of the sample increases.3.We prepare TiO2 doped with Yb under the optimum preparation conditions.When the doping amount of Yb was 0.05%,the degradation rate was higher than others.4.The doping of Ce and Yb can inhibit the formation of rutile phase of TiO2.The specific surface area of TiO2 prepared by co doping of Ce and Yb is larger than the specific surface area of TiO2 prepared by both doping.
