The natural rubber latex foams containing pineapple leaf fiber(PALF)were synthesized via Dunlop method.The composites exhibite possible applications for their absorbent capability and anti-mildew capability as well as excellent latex foam properties.That has important guiding significance to the application of the latex foam.The effect of the formulation and process parameters on resilience,compression set,and the mechanical properties of latex foams were investigated.The effect of PALF on resilience,compression set,the mechanical properties,absorbent capability,antibacterial properties and thermal stability of composites by changing the amount of PALF were studied.The effect of epoxidized natural rubber latex(ENR)on the dispersion of PALF in natural latex were researched.The results show that the optimum amount of potassium oleate is 2.0 phr.And ammonium sulfate is 2phr,sodium silicofluoride is 0.5 phr,zinc oxide is 2.5-3.0 phr,the amount of stabilizer was 1 phr.Preparation conditions that the curing time is 24 h,the content of ammonia is 0.1%,foaming stirring speed is 250~300 r/min,foaming time is 8~15 min.when foam homogenizing,the stirring speed is 150~175 r/min and time is 15~20 min.Foam setting temperature is 90~110 ?.Setting time is 15~20 min.The curing temperature is 100 ?and the curing time is 1 h.Under the above conditions,the foams have good molding effect and excellent physical and mechanical properties.With the increase of the content of PALF in composites,apparent density of composites are increased gradually,the rebound rate are decreased by 30.40%,23.30%.The compression set value are increased 320.31%,266.67%.The tensile strength and elongation are decreased by 73.33%,60%,72.16% and 73.39%.The addition of PALF lead to the decrease of the cross-linking point and the decrease of the cross-linking density.The results of the performance changes are in accordance with the HG/T4666-2014 standard.Scanning electronmicroscopy shows that the dispersion of PALF in NRL is poor,and most of them are agglomerate together.Thermal analysis shows that the addition of PALF decrease the thermal stability of the sponge.The study on the antibacterial properties of the composites show that the composites have anti-mildew properties.The adsorption capacity of formaldehyde and ammonia increase with the increase of PALF,and increase with the increase of adsorption time,and increase with the increase of adsorption temperature.ENR can improve the dispersion of PALF in NRL.The suitable amount of ENR for PALF added amount of 2phr,4phr composites is 0.2 phr,0.8 phr.Under this circumstance,the foams have high resilience,minimum compression set,maximum tensile strength,maximum elongation at break and maximum 100% of tensile stress.Scanning electron microscopy(SEM)shows that PALF is dispersed homogeneously and the degree of agglomeration is lower.
