Cavitation indicates the generation, expansion and collapse process, whichpart negativepressure period formed by the suddenly pressure drop in liquid some position,the gas hole and gas nucleus generation in the water or liquid, solid supercritical interface. In the whole reaction process, the extremely high temperature, super-high pressure,super-intensive shock wave and high-speed micro jet stream. Under this circumstance, the organic matter in the sludge and wastewater will be rapidly degraded, the sludge and wastewater can be purified. It is meaningful and valuable to research and apply this new easy process, smallinvestment and no secondary contamination technology.The following studies were done by experiments:1.Analysis of each influencing factor hydraulic characteristics of cavitation, and analysis of cavitation break the residual sludge, The analysis result shows: the growth of breaking time will improve the cavitation effect,inlet pressure 0.4MPa get the best; 30? is the optimal temperature control point; p H reach 10 or above can reach the best effect.2.By doing experiments, the effect of using cavitation technology to break the residual sludgeis studied, and compared the changes of the COD,MLSS,DOC contents before and after the removal of the residual sludge by hydraulic cavitation. The experiments shows using cavitation technology can crack the sludge cell wall, the cavitated sludge cell internal materialtransferred to liquid phase, and then sludge molecules will shrink, COD, MLSS,DOC in the sludge will be reduced, reduction of excess sludge.3.We discussed the feasibility of applying cavitation degrade COD in oilfield wastewater, the experiment using COD removing rate as core factor analyzing cavitation degrading ability for oilfield wastewater, experiment shows, with reaction time growing, the COD removing rate presents the steadily improving tendency, at the temperature 30 ?, 4mm diameter, inlet pressure 0.4MPa, 30 minutes cavitation, get the best cavitation effect, the COD removingrate reach 22%, so the cavitation technology can be applied in degrading the oilfield wastewater COD.
