Coal is not only a kind of energy, but also valuable chemical raw materials. Coal pyrolysis is a simple, less investment, low operation cost process, by which high calorific value gas, high value-added chemicals and cleaning char is can be obtained. Many methods are suitable for Shenfu coal pyrolysis, but the upright furnace pyrolysis technology used in North region of Shannxi province shows low tar yield, poor quality of char and low utilization efficiency of pulverized coal. The pyrolysis technique with solid as heat carrier can improve the tar yield and utilization efficiency of powdered coal, but due to micro positive pressure operation, tar and dust is easy to be aggregated, resulting in the increase of the plant operation risk. Therefore it is very important to develop new coal pyrolysis technology to promote the technique level of LAN charcoal industry, and improve the use efficiency of coal.To promote the industrialization of coal pyrolysis technique and improve the tar yield of coal pyrolysis, coal pyrolysis experiments were carried out in a fixed bed reactor with heating rate of 30 ?/min, temperature between 550 ? to 750 ? in different atmospheres?N2,mixture of 50% N2 and 50% H2, simulation coal gas?50% N2 and 25%H2, 25%CH4??, with catalyst?Fe2O3? in different pressure?0.4 0.8 MPa?.The results show that,1) Under the condition of nitrogen without catalyst, The effect of temperature on char, volatilization, tar is relatively small, the influence of the tar yield increased from 8.2% of the 550?to 9.32% of 750?; 2) Under the hydrogen atmosphere, the influence of temperature on the yield of semi coke, gas and tar is similar to that in nitrogen atmosphere, At the same temperature, the yield and conversion rate of the product was significantly higher than that of the nitrogen gas, and the tar yield increased from 9% at 550?to 11.5% of 750 ?; 3) Under the conditions of simulated coal gas composition, the yield of tar is not obvious, The result shows that the yield of pyrolysis process and the conversion rate of coal are improved in the process of pyrolysis with the gas as the heat carrier. 4) Under pressurized conditions?0.4MPa 0.8MPa?, the yield of pyrolysis tar was not significantly changed under the condition of relative atmospheric pressure, But increasing pyrolysis pressure, coordination with gasification process, help to improve the overall efficiency of the system. 5) The addition of catalyst Fe2O3 has a significant effect on the formation of gas, Butthe effect of tar yield was not significant, and the effect of char yield was improved due to the catalyst itself.
