Fluorescent probe is one kind of analytical test compounds which could detect the target molecular by monitoring the change of fluorescent spectrum under the addition of probes and target analytes together. In generally, fluorescent probes consist of fluorophore, linker and recognition unit.As having unique structure and good optical properties, the xanthene dyes are often used as fluorophore. Here,we designed a series of new xanthene dyes for monitoring fluoride ions and specific metal ions(such as Cu2+ or Hg2+)probe.In addition,we also synthesized a ClO-probe based on a cyclometalated Ir???complex. The details are summarized as follows:In chapter two,we designed the probes Q01 and Q02 based on the dyes Z1 or Z2 as fluorophore and TBDPS as recognition unit. The main synthetic routes of Q01 and Q02 were involved “protection of hydroxyl-deprotection” steps. The probes can recognize F-with high selectivity and sensitivity and are not interfered by other interference ions in aqueous solution monitored by UV-visible and fluorescence spectrum. There is a fine linearity between a range of F-concentration and the fluorescence intensity of Q01 or Q02.We calculated that their detection limits are 5.59×10-6 M,1.53 ×10-6 M respectively, which are lower than the standard of EPA.Furthermore, the Q01 and Q02 also show good performances in nature water samples and there is no obvious change in fluorescent intensity at the range of p H value from 4.0 to 9.5.In chapter three,we design a series of hydrazide derivative probes X,Y and Z which chosed the dye Z3 as fluorophore. The probes in appropriate solvent system can detect mercury or cupric ions by UV-visible spectrum and fluorescence spectrum.Their corresponding detection limits were 5.85×10-9 M,1.9×10-8 M,1.3×10-7 M respectively.Furthermore,it was found probe X and Z could be used over a pH span of 49.In chapter four,a highly sensitive fluorescent probe M2 based on cyclometalated Ir???complex for detecting Cl O-was reported. It can rapidly recognize ClO-ion in ethanol-water?1:1,v/v?with a detection limit of 1.98 ×10-7 M through fluorescence spectrum.
