Two platen injection molding machine as the main trend of large IMM has got more and more attentions from the IMM manufactures nowadays.China has become one of the lagestIMM producers and consumers in the world.At the same time,more and more products are made by plastic material instead of the production,such as the filter board of pressure filter..Because of pressure filter need tobe structural optimizated,and the main component – filter board from small size to large size being make by injection molding.Butdue to the limited of the size and shot weight of the IMM,the large filter boards were mainly processed by the inefficient,high energy consumption of extrusion molding.This article base on the engineering practice and reached by Borch two platen injection molding machine,optimized the production process of the filter board,and reach and design the clamping unit and injection unit of the two platen machine according to the production requirement of the large filter board(1500mmx 1500 mm x80mm).Base on the current injection molding process and compare with other machine design all over the world,herein,describe a new two platen IMM design solution clearly.The project is value to improve the technical level of injection molding machine,market share and the competitive ability in the domestic and overseas markets,improve the lifetime of filter board and has an important social significance and economic benefits.
