As a kind of functional textiles,the reversible thermochromic textiles are more and more welcomed by consumers,especially infant clothing who with the property of reversible thermochromic.The purpose of the paper is that obtaining the property of reversible thermochromic on textiles by finishing of microencapsulation.The main research are that using the reversible thermochromic composite which prepared by Crystal Violet Lactone,Bisphenol-A and Fourteen Alcohol as core material;using the water soluble Melamine-Formaldehyde(M-F)prepolymer as wall material,preparing the microcapsules by in-situ polymerization,and then finishing the fabric with microcapsule dip finishing to obtain reversible thermochromic textiles,and at the same time,the influence of various factors on the experimental results is tested,so the best preparation process of reversible thermochromic textiles is determined.The research shows that the composite have the best property of reversible thermochromic when the weight ratio of Crystal Violet Lactone,Bisphenol-A and Fourteen Alcohol was 1:4:40,at this time,the thermochromic temperature is 33.0 ~ 38.6 ?,the thermochromic time is 63 s and the K/S value is 3.3.The best preparation process of reversible thermochromic microcapsule is that emulsifying the fused composite and the emulsifier OP-10 and appropriate amount distilled water to get emulsified liquid;and then adding appropriate amount of Xanthan Gum to the emulsion;afterwards using the Citric Acid to adjust pH to 3.5;adjusting the temperature of the system to 80 ?,adjusting the stirring rate to 200r/min,dripping the Melamine Formaldehyde resin(M-F)into the emulsion(at the same time keep the core wall ratio for 2:1),after this the reaction system is heated and stirred 80 min,so that the wall material was fully condensed;and then,dispersing ? washing ? filtering and drying to obtain the reversible thermochromic microcapsule.The performance characteristics of reversible thermochromic microcapsule are that smooth surface,shape regular and mostly spherical,the particle size is mainly distribute in 4-7 ?m;the thermochromic temperature is 36.3~40.2?,the thermochromic time is 68 s and the K/S value is 2.7;the chemical stability is better than that of the mixture;and the physical stability is better than that of the mixture.The cotton fabric have the property of reversible thermochromic after being finished;moreover,the fracture strength of the fabric is increased and the air permeability is decreased.
