With the development of human society and continuous improvement of people's living standard,the energy shortage is one of the major problems facing by human beings.Traditional energy sources such as oil,coal and natural gas are limited,and there is a serious pollution to the environment after burning.Therefore,the development of new energy which has high energy density and little effect on the environment become the focus of research both at home and abroad.Metal-air batteries have the advantage of high energy efficiency and non-polluting,they have become the new hotspot in research of energy.Currently,the most commonly used is still the commercial Pt/C catalyst.But the Pt-based catalysts suffer from limited reserves,high cost,limited stability,which severely impede the application of fuel cells and metal-air batteries.Biomass-metal composite materials with high catalytic activity of oxygen reduction reaction and stable in the alkaline solution,which are often used to replace precious metal catalysts.The biomass-metal composite materials,which can improve conduction property of the substrate and ionic,and the synergy effect of biomass and metal,greatly improving the catalytic activity.The main contents are as follows.(1)With silver nitrate and soybean milk as raw material,we take the hydrothermal method,self-reduction and high temperature annealing method,successfully prepared silver-soybean milk carbon composite material.Then we use potassium hydroxide to activate the sample,which can further improve the catalytic performance.Through the electrochemical test,the amount of Ag NO3 is 0.1 M(10 ml),the annealing temperature is900 o C,the mass ratio of sample and KOH is 1:4,the sample C-N/Ag-900-K has the excellent electric-catalytic activity of oxygen reduction and discharge performance in zinc-air battery.The number of electrons transferred is 4,which is typical the four electrons reaction process,close to the commercial platinum carbon catalyst.And the stability and methanol-tolerance is much better than commercial platinum carbon catalyst.(2)With silver nitrate and Artemia egg shells as raw material,we take the hydrothermal method,self-reduction and high temperature annealing method,successfullyprepared silver-Artemia egg shells carbon composite material.Then we use potassium hydroxide to activate the sample,which can further improve the catalytic performance.Through the electrochemical test,the amount of Ag NO3 is 75 m M(20 ml),the annealing temperature is 900 oC,the mass ratio of sample and KOH is 1:4,the sample HPC/Ag-2 has the excellent electric-catalytic activity of oxygen reduction and discharge performance in zinc-air battery.The number of electrons transferred is 3.93,which is typical the four electrons reaction process,close to the commercial platinum carbon catalyst.And the stability and methanol-tolerance is much better than commercial platinum carbon catalyst.
