With the rapid development of science and technology, people's requirement onthe quality of mechanical products is rising, yields are increasing gradually, makingpeople's requirement of the machining precision of the machine tool, load capacity,and performance are more demanding. Therefore, ultra-precision machine tools havebeen widely used in the military, aerospace, vessel and other civilian industries. Theguide rail is one of the important parts of the machine tool, its performance directlyaffects the motion accuracy, processing capacity and stiffness of machine tools. In themany factors that determine the performance of the ultra-precision machine tools, theperformance of the key part plays a main role. Among them, the guide rail is animportant part which is direct guarantee the relative motion precision and relativeposition precision between the moving parts of ultra-precision machine tool. With theapplication and research of various guide rail, hydrostatic guideway because of itsadvantages, like large carrying capacity, low friction, good damping effect, uniformmotion, etc., and is widely used in heavy-duty machine tools. In this paper, we mainlystudies the application of hydrostatic guideway in the ultra-precision machine tools,doing structural design, static and dynamic performance analysis for hydrostaticguideway to predict the dynamic performance of ultra-precision machine tool'sguideway, which can effectively guide the hydrostatic guideway design.The main contents of this paper are as follows:1. By comparing different types of hydrostatic guide way's basic structure andworking principle, according to the design requirements of experimental platform fordesign structural of hydrostatic guideway, choose operating parameters, build fuelsupply system and design the experimental test program.2. Finite element static analysis was carried out on the static experimentplatform, respectively for each feature component of the hydrostatic guide wayexperiment platform in the static analysis, to ensure that the guide way during theprocess of running won't appear such problems as excessive deformation and fracture.And analysis of the oil film stiffness, to ensure the load capacity of guide way and themotion stability. 3. Finite element dynamic analysis was carried out on the static experimentplatform, respectively for the guide mode, pressure and temperature has carried on thefinite element simulation. To achieve the best motion state of the guide way.
