Industry development is closely related to disposal of a large number of various toxic pollutants, which makes developimg some new kinds of eco-friendly methods to deal with these contaminants meaningful.Activated carbon which have high surface areas have been widely used in wastewater treatment due to the advantages of simply operation. However, it cannot degrade pollutants and also during filtration there may be a lot of sludge which brings difficult for the operation. photocatalysis has attracted widespread attention because it can treat the noxious wastewater in a highly way without a secondary contamination. TiO2 is widely used because of its high catalytic activity, resistance to photocorrosion and no toxicity. But low availability of only solar light, poor adsorption to pollutants and difficult to recycle in water treatment limit its widely use in the field of photocatalysis. Therefore, it is meaningful for industralization of photocatalytic degradation in water treatment to find some proper ways to solve the problem. For example, loading the nanosized TiO2 onto much larger supports or doping with other elements. In this study, the biomass activated carbon was prepared from Sunflower bone marrow by using chemical activation first. Then the impregnated sample was selected as support to prepare titanium dioxide composite material. This material not only can immobilize TiO2 dealing with the difficulty of separating in the wastewater treatment process, but also has formidable adsorption abilities to achieving more effectively degradation due to combine the adsorption abilities of biomass with photocatalysis of TiO2. However, how to prepare high performance biomass and titanium dioxide composite material is a key of this study. This paper consists of four chapters:The first chapter summarized damage of pollutants, some treatment methods of organic wastewater and current research of boimass and TiO2.In the second chapter, biomass carbon was prepared from Sunflower bone marrow which were dried. The influence of activation parameters was conducted by varying the carbonization temperature and impregnation ratios. Furthermore, The morphology and surface chemistry of biochar SFSAC was characterized by XRD,FTIR,SEM etc.In the third chapter, simulated adsorption to p-nitrophenol were also explored.:adsorption isotherm and kinetics of p-nitrophenol onto the biochar was investigated by conducting a series batch adsorption experiments. In the fourth chapter, a titanium dioxide composite material was prepared and some characterization was studied. Also photocatalytic activity of this compsite material was studied by selecting methylene blue as simulated wastewater: sol-gel method was carried out to prepare the material meanwhile the impregnated sample was selected as a support, which skip a second calcination. The loading quality of titanium dioxide on photo-degradation effect was investigated. Structural characterization and simulated degradation to methylene blue were also studied. The relevant theoretical research and data processing were conducted.
