The protection quality of protection engineering is of great significance to national defense and civil defense security. Blast door is the core component of protection engineering. Its performance directly affects the protection level of protection engineering. The impact performance of blast door is the key evaluation of blast door which is showed the capability of blast door. Therefore, the impact resistance of the blast door is the emphasis of research.Traditional blast doors are divided into steel blast doors and reinforced concrete blast doors. Because of the material and the need of resistance design, the blast door is heavy, and it is difficult to open, repair, transport, install and so on. With the development of new weapons, and the application of new blast door is imperative. The ideal material of blast door is low density, high strength, low cost, good manufacturability. Carbon fiber composites have all the above characteristics, and will have a broad outlook applications on the blast door.In this paper, structural design and performance evaluation of carbon fiber composite material blast door were carried out, and the ply design of carbon fiber composite materials were studied. Using the blast wave theory, the response of laminate were analyzed when all-around of the laminate were fixed, and carbon fiber composite blast door evaluation were established. The evaluation criteria is the maximum stress criterion and the value of cross displaycement which is used in the evaluation of the combine carbon composite material properties with blast door?First, carbon fiber composite material damping characteristics were measured, the ? and ? of Rayleigh damping factors are 6 and-610×5.1. According to the conditions of blast door, the blast loading model of blast door was established in LS-DYNA software, the blast door dynamic load was analyzed under the given conditions. The load is triangular load, and action time is 11 ms, the peak of the load is 2.5×105Pa. According to Rayleigh damping factor and the blast door dynamic load, the influence of ply to blast door was analyzed. Analysis showed that the optimal ply for blast door is [0°4/45°/0°4/-45°/0°4/45°/0°4/-45°]s in the maximum stress criterion.In this paper, the structures of carbon fiber composite blast door were analyzed. The results are shown bellow.1) When the radian of blast door is 0°, the penetration performance is best;2) When the thickness of steel skin is 1×103m, the blast door can withstand the impact of shrapnel;3) When the frame number is 18, the blast doors is the best in weight and maximum stress in two indicators.Based on the given load, the maximum stress of carbon fiber composite blast door is 2.14×108Pa, and the maximum displacement is 7.488×103m in the equivalent static load of 3×105Pa.And increasing the applied load on the blast door, when the equivalent static load is 3×106Pa, the maximum stress of blast door is 2×109Pa, and the maximum displacement is 5.222×102m.The carbon fiber composite material blast doors fail. Therefore, the carbon fiber composite material blast door resist static load is 3×106Pa, that is the resistance of the carbon fiber composite material blast door is 2.5×106Pa.
