The acid leaching tailings of stone coal were produced more and more because the acid leaching vanadium technology was applied in the field of vanadium extraction widely. The production of large numbers of these tailings has caused not only occupation of land, but also environmental pollution. In order to realize the comprehensive utilization of vanadium tailings, geopolymer were produced by these tailings in this article. The character of these tailings and tailings after diposed were texted. On this basis, the best technological condition and the best activation method was explored. And the micro-analysis, chemical corrosion resistance, thermal stability of geopolymer products were texted. The results are as follows:(1) Set the compressive strength of the geopolymer products as the index, the best technological condition is considered, and the microscopic analysis of geopolymer products prepared in this condition is analyzed. The results are as follows: when the mass ratio of slag and metakaolin is 4:1, the alkali activator is the composite activator of Na OH+Na2Si O3, the content of Na OH is 11%, the dosage of Na2 Si O3 is 10%, the ratio of liquid to solid is 0.32, the binder-sand mass ratio is 1:1, the compressive strength of geopolymer products is the highest. And the microscopic analysis shows that the diffraction peaks of zeolite and C-S-H are founded, the Si-O-Si vibration peaks are transformed into Si-O-Al vibration peaks, and the structure of product is dense and less porosity.(2) Set the compressive strength of the geopolymer products as index, the best activation method is considered, the results are as follows: the best activation method is chemical-mechanical activation, the chemical activation agent is Ca(OH) 2, which the doping amount is 8%, and mixing fully for 1min, the tailings can be activated, the geopolymer products produced by these activated tailings have the best compressive strength. And the microscopic analysis showed that the amounts of zeolite in geopolymer specimens after activated are increased, large gel phase has been found, which means its strcture is uniform and dense.(3) The chemical corrosion resistance and the thermal stability test are considered in geopolymer products used by raw tailings or activated tailings. The results show that the chemical corrosion resistance and the high temperature resistance of geopolymer products used by activated tailings has improved, which means geopolymer products used by activated tailings has the better performance than geopolymer products used by raw tailings.
