Fullerene nanotubes which show potential applications in many fields have attracted widespread attentions from people.Currently,there are a lot of reports on preparation of C60 FNTs,but there is few report on preparation of FNTs using C60/C70 soot which cheaper than C60.In this thesis,fullerene C60/C70 nanotubes(FNTs)were synthesized by a liquid-liquid interfacial precipitation method,which used C60/C70-pyridine solution and isopropyl alcohol(IPA).The morphology and structure of FNTs was characterized by polarizing optical microscope(POM),transmission electron microscopic(TEM),scanning electron microscope(SEM).The diameter of FNTs is between 400-1500nm,the length is longer than 800 microns with high aspect ratio between length to width.The influence of preparation conditions on FNTs was studied.The result showed the composition of FNTs was affected by irradiated-time.It was primarily concluded C70 content of FNTs was decreasing gradually with the increasing of irradiated-time by FT-IR spectra.In addition,solvent style played an important role on the growth of FNTs.FNTs couldn't be prepared use toluene,benzene,m-xylene as solvent of C60/C70 soot.The charge-transfer complex reaction between pyridine and C60,C70 molecules related to the formation of FNTs.Fullerene C60/C70 nanowhiskers(FNWs)were synthesized by the liquid-liquid interfacial precipitation method,which used C60/C70-benzene solution and IPA.The morphology,structure and composition of FNWs were characterized by POM,TEM,SEM,FT-IR spectra.The diameter of FNWs is between 100-300nm,the length is 150 microns with high aspect ratio between length and width.The composition of FNWs is C60-14.8mol%C70.N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone(NMP)FNTs were synthesized by the liquid-liquid interfacial precipitation method,which used C60/C70-NMP solution and IPA.The morphology and structure of NMP-FNTs was characterized by POM,TEM,and SEM.The diameter of FNWs is 1500nm,the length is 800 microns.C60/C70-NMP solution was studied by UV-Vis spectra.The charge-transfer complex reaction was occurred between NMP and C60,C70molecules,respectively.
