Catalytic combustion is one of the most important and promising processes for industrial VOCs elimination due to its low cost,low energy requirement and environmental friendly process.In chemical industry,VOCs always contain sulfur,it will react with the catalysts,and depress the catalytic performance of catalysts.Therefore,it is necessary to find efficient,stable and sulfur-resistant of catalysts for VOCs catalytic combustion.In this dissertation,the activity and poison resistance of sulfur of metal oxide catalysts and Cu-V compound oxide catalysts were investigated towards catalytic combustion of VOCs.Futher,the key factors of catalytic combustion of VOCs of containing sulfur on Cu-V compound oxide catalysts were also discussed.Metal oxide catalysts(CeOx,MnOx,CoOx,CrOx,CuOx,FeOx,NiOx,VOx,TiOx)were prepared by gel-combustion.And their catalytic performances were studied by catalytic combustion of VOCs of containing sulfur.The results show that catalytic performances of metal oxide catalysts as:MnOx>CeOx>CoOx>CrOx>FeOx>NiOx>CuOx>VOx>TiOx?For the VOCs of containing sulfur,the sulfur-resistance of VOx and TiOx catalysts are better than MnOx,NiOx and CeOx catalysts.The reason for catalysts of losing their activity is that the presence of d cavity will increase the capability of combining SO2 with catalyst species.With the studies on performances of metal oxide catalysts,using gel-combustion to prepare CuxV1-x catalysts(x=0,0.09,0.15,0.2,0.33,0.5,0.67,0.8,0.85,0.91,1),the catalysts were characterized by XRD,BET,H2-TPR,IR and their catalytic performances were studied by catalytic combustion of VOCs of containing sulfur.The results show that a small amount of Cu doping can significantly promote the activity of V2O5 lattice oxygen,enhancing the catalytic activity.Cu0.15V0.85 catalyst has the best catalytic activity and sulfur-resistance among all materials studied.To improve the dispersion and thermal stability of Cu-V compound oxide catalysts,using TiO2 as a high sulfur-resistant carrier.Cu-V/TiO2 catalysts prepared by impregnation method,and their catalytic performances were studied by catalytic combustion of VOCs of containing sulfur.The results show that TiO2 can improve the active area ratio of Cu-V compound oxide catalysts,and further improve the catalytic ability of sulfur-resistance.10%Cu0.15V0.85/TiO2 catalysts perform the best catalytic activity and sulfur-resistant among all materials studied.Under 30 mg/m3 of SO2,the catalyst makes toluene totally combusted at 350 ?,and it maintains good catalytic activity in 10h.
