Polybrominated diphenyl ethers(PBDEs)is a class of brominated flame retardants,for its excellent flame retardant properties as well as its properties of small features on the material,it has been widely used in various consumer products,such as plastic shell and circuit boards of electrical and electronic products.PBDEs is also a class of global organic pollutants that poses a threat to human health.Studies have shown that the main way that human exposure to PBDEs are through air and dust,of which 80%comes from indoor dust.Therefore,researching the PBDEs of indoor environment is necessary.Hangzhou was selected as the researching sites for PBDEs,including offices,homes,etc.,active sampling technology is used to collect indoor and outdoor air,gas chromatography is used to detect PBDEs concentration levels,and then analyzes the distribution and sources;surface swab is used to collect indoor and outdoor dust,then detect concentrations of PBDEs and analyze their distribution and influencing factors.Finally,discussed the human exposure to PBDEs from.air and dust.The main conclusions are:1.Atmospheric concentrations of PBDEs in offices ranged from 463.17 to 1659.03 pg/m3(average 905.19 pg/m3),Atmospheric concentrations of PBDEs in offices ranged from 638.63 to 828.00 pg/m3,(average 743.35 pg/m3),Atmospheric concentrations of PBDEs in laboratories ranged from 987.6 to 1322.13 pg/m3(average 1154.87 pg/m3),Atmospheric concentrations of PBDEs in cars range from 741.11 to 1142.47 pg/m3(average 941.79pg/m3),Atmospheric concentrations of PBDEs in factories range from 1617.13 to 2671.38 pg/m3(average 2128.70 pg/m3).In accordance with the order of concentration:Factory>Lab>Car>Office>Home>Outdoor.2.Of offices,homes,laboratories,cars,factories samples,the main congeners is BDE-209,ranged from 20.03%to 83.34%,followed by BDE-190,ranges from 5.50%to 10.34%.Through the analysis of correlation coefficient can be found BDE-66,BDE-71,BDE-85,BDE-99,BDE-100,BDE-138 may come from the same sources,and BDE-183,BDE-190 may also be from the same contaminants.3.With the increase in the number of bromine atoms,PBDEs proportion in the gas phase decreases,while increasing the proportion of the particle phase.4.Dust concentrations of PBDEs in offices ranged from 390.00 to 1503.04 ng/g,(average 928.20 ng/g),dust concentrations of PBDEs in homes ranged from 709.60 to 1014.00 ng/g(average 782.78ng/g),dust concentrations of PBDEs in offices ranged from 305.39 to 473.65 ng/g(average 407.42 ng/g),dust concentrations of PBDEs in public places range from 77.33 to 564.75 ng/g(average 537.28 ng/g),dust concentrations of PBDEs in computer rooms range from 1197.70 to 2171.07 ng/g(average 1471.82 ng/g).In accordance with the order of concentration:Engine room>Office>Family>Dormitory>Outdoor.5.Of dust samples,the main congeners is BDE-209,ranged from 29.12 to 91.59%,BDE-209,BDE-17,BDE-28,BDE-47,BDE-66,BDE-71,BDE-99,BDE-100 and BDE-138 may come from the same sources,BDE-154,BDE-190 and BDE-183 may also come from the same sources.6.The number of electric equipments and the use of time is the main factors impacting on the concentrations of air and dust PBDEs,ventilation time is negatively correlated,fitting time have little effect on PBDEs concentrations.7.Human exposure of adults to PBDEs in the air is much higher than human exposure of children,human exposure of children to PBDEs in dust is much higher than human exposure of adults,total human exposure of children and adults indoor are the same.Total human exposure to PBDEs in indoor environments mainly from indoor dust,which of children 87.34%from dust,while adults 74.07%from dust.
