Multi-component reaction is a highly efficient and green synthesis pathway, which includes excellent synthesis efficiency, simple procedure, structural diversity, environmentally friendly, atom economy and closer to the ideal synthesis. In the past, the development of this field are based on aromatic aldehyde as the substrate for reaction on research. In recent years, compounds such as isatin, ninhydrin, acenaphthenequinone et al are used to replace the aromatic aldehyde to take part in the multi-component reaction, and some spiro-heterlcyclic compounds are synthesized. In this paper,a varity of Spiro-pyrane derivatives which poss very important biological and pharmaceutical activities were synthesized using alkaline ionic liquids as catalyst through one pot three component reaction of isatin/ninhydrin/acenaphthenequinone,malononitrile and 1,3-dicarbonyl compound. The main contents as follows:Chapter One:The definition, types, properties and synthesis of ionic liquids were simply introduced. And the recent research to synthesis of spiro-heterlcyclic compounds through multi-component reaction are reviewed, and the study direction of the paper are also derived.Chapter Two:Spiro[indole-pyrane]derivatives were synthesized via one pot three component condensation reactions of isatin,malononitrile/ethylcyanoacetate/cyanoacetamide and 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds in the presence of alkaline ionic liquid[Bmim]OH as catalyst in ethanol under heating condition.Chapter Three:spiro[1,3-dioxo-indan-pyrane]derivatives were synthesized via one pot three component condensation reactions of ninhydrin, malononitrile and 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds/2-naphthol/8-hydroxyl quinoline in the presence of alkaline ionic liquid[Bmim]OH as catalyst in ethanol under heating condition.Chapter Four:spiro[acenaphthy lene-pyrane]derivatives were synthesized via one pot three component condensation reactions of acenaphthenequinone,malononitrile/ethylcyanoacetate and 1,3-dicarbonyl compounds in the presence of alkaline ionic liquid[Bmim]OH as catalyst in aqueous medium under heating condition.Chapter Five:The conclusions of the thesis and the prospect of the applications of this field were described.
