The transmission mechanism is a connecting portion between the motor and processing tools in the servo press. Under the circumstances of ensuring the strength and rigidity of the body structure, lightweight design becomes an important ring to improve the response speed, driving accuracy and process adaptability of servo presses. In this paper, the slider and the connecting rod were analyzed and researched with the finite element software ABAQUS and the lightweight effect of the slider and the connecting rod with hollow structure and truss structure were explored.The slider model were built by hollow structure design and the optimal objective was determined. Finally the optimal results were obtained with Multiple population genetic algorithm. The effect of the slider lightweight design with hollow structure was verified with finite element method.The slider model were built by truss structure.The mapping relation between parameter variables, the mass and the deflection was trained with BP neural network algorithm. Parameter variables were optimized with multiple-population genetic algorithm and the optimal results was obtained. The effect of the slider lightweight design with truss structure was verified with finite element method.The slider model were built by circular hole structure.The effect of the slider lightweight design was verified with finite element method and the idea of further realization was provided.
