Remanufacturing highly fit the needs of national sustainable development strategies so attach great importance from government and enterprises. Metal arc welding additive remanufacturing based on metal wire, as a remanufacturing process, due to its low cost, high efficiency and adaptability of metal materials gets more and more attention of scholars. In order to achieve manufacturing and remanufacturing of metal parts, the writer designes a metal arc welding additive remanufacturing system based on GMAW.Welding, used to additive manufacturing, has the advantage of high heat input, low precision. In order to reduce welding heat input and avoid welding defects, after depth research of the traditional MIG, CMT and CMT Advanced technology, the writer designes a metal arc welding additive remanufacturing system with metal arc welding equipment as kernel equipment which is low heat input, equipped with CMT Advanced technology and lightweight robot as carrying platform. In order to achieve the purpose that once the system has been calibrated Its can remanufacture different types of workpieces, three-dimensional measurement system is integrated into this system, together make up a flexible metal arc welding additive remanufacturing systems. In order to achieve the target to control shape and performance in the remanufacturing forming process, in this paper the writer design temperature control module to monitor weld temperature during the entire welding process and develop dedicated process planning software, as metal arc welding system has many process problems such as large bead width, the presence of thermal expansion and contraction during metal cooling process, large residual stress, etc, so the writer redesign process kernel include variable weld gap, dimensions compensation, contour rotation, etc.In order to prove the correctness of the path planning process, the writer uses DELMIA software for simulation. Finally through additive remanufacturing the steel gears, aluminum engine and other damaged workpieces to verify the feasibility.
