As many equipments and devices are developing towards the direction of miniaturization and integration, it requires that the power must be higher and higher. There are important science significance and practical value to have further study of the high-power piezoelectric ceramics, which are mainly used in the condition of high electric field or strong drive, such as piezoelectric ceramic vibrator, piezoelectric transformer, transmission type ultrasonic transducer and so on, having extremely important statues the field of information technology. High-power piezoelectric ceramic materials require not only high mechanical quality factor Qm, low dielectric loss tan?, large electromechanical coupling coefficient Kp, large piezoelectric constant d33, but also good stability in the high electric field.The paper prepared the piezoelectric ceramic samples of lead zirconate Pb?Mn1/3Sb2/3?O3-PZT by traditional solid state method. And investigating the piezoelectric response under the condition of low electric field,the temperature stability and the non-linear dielectric response of high electric field of the ceramics. The non-linear dielectric response of the ceramics were evaluated on the basis of the Rayleigh model,which can quantitatively distinguish the reversible and irreversible contribution of dielectric response.In this paper, the CeO2 showed the “hard” characteristics, it could improve the Qm,and reduce the dielectric loss. when added 0.25wt% CeO2, the performance parameters under low electric field of the PMS-PZT ceramics are as follows:d33=321p C/N,Kp=0.606, Qm=1367, ?r=1632, tan?=0.484%. The Qm of the ceramics increased from 1043 to 1367,the Rayleigh coefficient of the dielectric response of the samples decreased from 104?kV/cm?-1 to 83?kV/cm?-1, the dielectric loss under the condition of 5k V/cm?1kHz decreased from 4.182% to 3.551%, the nonlinear response was greatly reduced.When added 0.30wt% Yb2O3, the Kp of the PMS-PZT+0.25wt% CeO2 ceramics increased from 0.606 to 0.643, the d33 increased from 321pC/N to 391pC/N, the Rayleigh coefficient decreased from 83?kV/cm?-1 to 79?k V/cm?-1.On the basis of maintain the performance of the ceramics under high electric field,greatly improve the piezoelectric properties of the ceramics under low electric field?BiFeO3 has the effect of promoting the sintering process. When doped with 0.20mol% BiFeO3, the optimum sintering temperature of the PMS-PZT+0.25wt%Ce O2 ceramics decreased from1300? to 1180?. At the same time, the Kp increased from 0.606 to 0.622, the d33 increased from 321pC/N to 359pC/N, and the dielectric loss under the condition of 5k V/cm?1k Hz decreased from 3.551% to 3.262%.
