Ruthenium polypyridyl complexes have extensive applications in field of luminescence, photochemical treatment,dye-sensitized solar cell and biological detection owing to adjustable oxidation-reduction characteristics, photophysical properties and photochemical properties.Heavy main group metal halides had attracted widespred attention due to special structure sensitive property in off-color and photoelectric conversion materials,et al.Active ruthenium complex cations introduced into heavy main group metal halides. It may synthesize allochroic and photovoltaic conversion materials which have complementary functions, collaborative optimization and fantastic properties. This research is now in primary stage,It is constitutes a step further into the understanding of the mechanism of allochroic and photovoltaic conversion. Therefore,it is meaning to develop new photoelectric functional materials through regulating of the synthesis and structure characterization of hybrid materials. In view of this feather,we propose to combine the Ru/2,2'-bipy,Ru/1,10-phen and Ru/2,2':6',2"-tpy complex cations with heavy main metal halides(Sb,Bi,Pb)in solvothermal conditions. We got 14 hybrid compounds, whose structures were determined by X-ray diffraction analysis method, and furthermore characterized by IR,UV-Vis spectrum. The molecular formula is as follows:Structural analysis showed ruthenium complex/main group metal halide hybrid system, the metal anions cluster are most zero or one dimensions.Compounds 7,8,11 were rare mixed halides, the Se element was the first time introduced into halides in complex 12 which has a rare 2.2 nm nanobelt.UV-Vis spectrum indicated that active complex cations broaden the absorption band.Meanwhile, the properties of fluorescence in these 14 compounds had been discussed. It was found compounds 1 and 6 have excellent reversible thermochromic phenomena, which discoloration temperature is 170 ? and 130 ?.These efforts in this paper provides experimental basis for layout, synthesis and application of new organic-inorganic hybrid polymers.
