Coal base in hilly area of Loess Plateau is an important energy base in china,Coal mining has brought great prosperity to local economic and social development, but also caused damage to the local natural resources, especially the groundwater resources on which the living things depend. This paper takes 5 coal mine enterprises in Chang river Region of Zezhou County in Shanxi Province as the research object.Explain the problem of how coal mining affect groundwater by analysis the mining methods, geological structure, topographic features, mine water inflow and other data. The main research contents of this paper include :(1)Determine the distribution of aquifers in the study area and identify aquifers affected by coal mining;(2)Divide the coal mining history in the study area into 4stages.On the basis of the above research, calculate the influence scope of each aquifer in different periods by fully penetrating well formula, based on the collected data of coal mine water inflow and other related data, dynamic analyze the damage mechanism of coal mining on groundwater, analyze the water level drawdown by well data;Based on the data of topography and geomorphology and coal seam structure, analyze the flow direction and supply mode of groundwater to determine the sources of groundwater and groundwater catchment area, propose the groundwater conservation and utilization zoning. Conclusions are as follows:(1)Until the year of 2015,Coal mining enterprises in the study area have mined 33.48 million tons of coal, the mined out area reached894.74 hectares,17.4144 million cubic meters of groundwater is lost, water content coefficient 0.6 m3/t.1997 ~2008 is a severe period of groundwater depletion;(2)The affected area of groundwater changes with the transfer of coal mining, the geometric center of affected area of the aquifer moves southwest 2.28 km.With the improvement of coal mining technology, not only the coal mining rate in per unit area is increased, but also increase the disturbance of the groundwater resources;(3)Influenced by coal mining, the water level of well generally declined. In the middle and north of the study area, the shallow groundwater level dropped seriously,in the west of the studyarea, the shallow groundwater level dropped slightly;(4)Divide the study area into four different priority groundwater source protection zones: The risk zone of primary head side of groundwater, the risk zone of secondary head side of groundwater, the potential zone of primary head side of groundwater, the potential risk zone of secondary head side of groundwater.Taking the development range of the two flanks of the syncline as the boundary line, delimit the restricted area of water conservation and coal mining.Delimit the protection zone of affected aquifer.
