Global energy and environment issues are very serious at present.As the combustion of fossil fuel is still the major route to obtain energy,it brings out the problems of environmental pollution and shortage of energy source.The combustion of fossil fuel leads to massive emission of CO2,and results in global warming and fog and haze weather.Now we had to develop renewable clean energy to solve this problem.Hydrogen is now the most widely used clean energy,and water electrolysis is a common way to produce hydrogen energy.Oxygen evolution reaction(OER),as the half reaction of water electrolysis,is now the bottleneck of the development of water electrolysis.At this moment,finding out a kind of catalysts with high catalytic activity is the most important thing.The research findings of 3d transition metal oxy-hydroxide reveal high electrocatalytic activity and shows friendly in economy.According to the preface,we prepare to add molybdenum into binary metal oxy-hydroxide to enhance its electrocatalytic activity,and added graphene into FeCoMo to increase its OER catalytic activity.In this article,we used the sol-gel method to synthesize FeCoMo oxy-hydroxide respectively,electrochemical testing results showed that the catalytic activity of two samples are similar.We also used the sol-gel method to synthesize FeCo oxy-hydroxide,and synthesize FeCo LDH,electrochemical testing results showed that the adding of molybdenum into FeCo oxy-hydroxide improved its electrocatalytic activity,it lowed 78mV overpotential at current density of 10 mA/cm2,and it is much lower than FeCo LDH,which is considered as the best alkaline OER catalyst at present.We annealed the FeCoMo oxy-hyroxide at high temperature,and the XRD patterns revealed that the Fe,Co and Mo was phase separated by the means of annealing,and its OER catalytic activity is far from FeCoMo.On the other sides,it demonstrated the amorphous phase has its advantage in structure.In order to enhance the electrochemical activity of FeCoMo Oxy-hydroxide,As the graphene exists more active sites on its surface,we added graphene,with many active sites on its surface,into FeCoMo oxy-hydroxide in situ,it improved electocatalytic activity of FeCoMo at a certain extent after the electrochemical testing.But the price of graphene is high,it is not possible to apply actual production.
