Research And Application Of Managed Pressure Drilling

MPD(Managed Pressure Drilling)is a necessary means to solve the problems facing in the current drilling process,such as complex pore pressure profile,narrow density windows,poor drillability,easy leakage or spray and so on.At present,the domestic and foreign main Managed Pressure Drilling technology contains the fine managed pressure drilling technology,the micro flow managed pressure drilling technology,the Reelwell drilling technology,the mud cap managed control drilling technology,etc.These managed pressure drilling technologies are only used in a complex well section of the whole drilling process,the control principle is based on the balance of the bottomhole pressure,the control object is casing pressure,and raise very high demands on the formation pressure detection while drilling,which is difficult to apply in practice.In this paper,according to the problems of managed pressure drilling technology,the theoretical analysis and practical demonstration are used to study the pressure managed drilling technology.This paper summarizes the theories of current managed pressure drilling technology and raised a new managed pressure drilling concept which based on according to the overflow or leakage quantum to divide intervals and control respectively,simplifies the design of the automatic throttle manifold of managed pressure drilling,using ground micro flow detection technology,utilize the flow as the control object,research the new managed pressure drilling technology and design the technology program.The study concluded the micro flow detection and pressure control technology,the formation of micro flow detection and control software.Make full use of school experimental base resources,designed experiments simulation of the drilling process of normal drilling,connection,tripping,overflow,well leakage,circulating exhaust.The argument of the three modes,the feasibility of pressure drilling technology of surface micro flow measurement system based on micro flow detect ion and inspection;pressure control software reliability,simplifies the design of automatic verification and the applicability of the flow manifold.
