In recent years,as the increase consumption of the oil and gas in the industry and daily life,the produced quantity on mainland decreases,and the improvement of the technology,the offshore oil development has come into our eyes,it also makes the world's oil extraction industry in transition to more marine mining,especially.With current technology,regardless of the way of offshore oil exploitation,it must use the riser system,As an important facility for offshore drilling operations--Drilling riser,It is a necessary connection to contact between submarine equipment and sea surface facilities,offshore drilling is the main step of offshore oil and gas development,the marine drilling riser is the core equipment of offshore oil and gas exploitation.With the drilling environment and the increase of the working depth,it will make the using conditions of riser more complex,the external effect of the riser is more severe and complicated,therefore,the successful design of deepwater drilling riser is directly related to the success of offshore drilling operations.This paper mainly discusses the design of deepwater drilling riser,with the preliminary drilling riser design of a 1500 meters operating depth semi-submersible platform,based on the theory of mechanics and related design specifications,the basic parameters such as material,length,diameter and wall thickNess are designed.Qualitative and quantitative analysis of several factors,such as wave load,drilling fluid density,platform offset and buoyancy block diameter,and the relationship between the operating factors and riser strength,is made.Through the use of multidimensional analysis software to simplify modeling,use software module to add load on riser model to calculate related parameters of riser under operating conditions and survive conditions and get the effective data of riser,and then the software is used to calculate and analyze the strength of the model,in order to do the optimization design and detailed design of the riser for providing the available basic data.In addition,this paper compares two kinds of riser schemes,discusses their advantages and disadvantages and the applicability of the project.
