In industrial production, the circulating cooling water is usually used to heat-exchange. In the circulating cooling water system, the scale inhibitor is generally needed to achieve the corrosion inhibition, improve the circulating rate of cooling water,save water resources and reduce the waste water discharge. Green and efficient water treatment agent is the development direction of today's water treatment agent,the purpose of this paper is to synthesize a kind of ternary copolymer PISV scale inhibitors, not only has good scale inhibition performance, and the biodegradable property is superior to the commonly used drugs.The selection of monomer, molecular weight regulator, type of initiator and adding method was determined by reading a lot, the effects of monomer ratio, initiator dosage, reaction temperature and reaction time on the scale inhibition performance were studied by orthogonal experiment and single factor experiment,then we can determine the optimum product formulation and process conditions. The results of experiment show that when the mole ratio of IA, SAS and VAC is 2:1:4, the mass fraction of initiator (potassium persulfate) is 10%(based on the total mass of monomer),the reaction temperature is 90 ?,the reaction time is 3h,the selection of molecular weight regulator is isopropyl alcohol, the amount of isopropyl alcohol is 16%(based on the total mass of monomer), the addiing method is IA, SAS and isopropyl alcohol as the base material, then drop plus VAC and initiator, through these conditions, get the best antiscaling effect can reach 92.66% on calcium carbonate inhibition effect. then studied the physical and chemical properties of PISV, the solid content was 29.87%, and the molecular weight was about 1.89×103.In order to solve the overall performance of PISV, we studied the scale inhibitor of calcium carbonate,calcium sulfate,calcium phosphate scale inhibition performance,corrosion inhibition performance and biodegradability. The results show that when the dosage of scale inhibitor are 20mg/L, 10mg/L and 20mg/L, the scale inhibition performance of calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate and calcium phosphate was the highest, can reach 92.66%, 99.13%, 78.41%. Wen the dosage of scale inhibitor are 50mg/L, the corrosion inhibition effect can reach 88.91%, which shows that the scale inhibitor has good corrosion inhibition performance. Scale inhibitor 28d biodegradation rate can reach 79.96%,scale inhibitor biodegradability is obviously better than most of the market, but still slightly lower than PESA. Scale inhibitor in the harsh environment(high temperature, high pH), still have a good corrosion inhibition performance.For understanding PISV agent mechanism of scale inhibitor,we studied the comparison chart of calcium carbonate scale SEM about adding scale inhibition and no scale inhibition, and the comparison chart of calcium carbonate scale XRD about adding scale inhibition and no scale inhibition, and then the scale inhibitor dispersing performance were studied. The results show that the scale inhibitor has the function of chelate solubilization and crystal lattice distortion,Through the research of dispersion properties, when the dosage of scale inhibitor are 30mg/L,Transmittance reach 47.8%. It is concluded that the scale inhibitor has three main functions of scale inhibition, and they are chelating solubilization, crystal lattice distortion and dispersion.
