On the premise of research of related books and data at home and abroad,considering the history of ancient Chinese women,the background of specific history and the effect of cultural environment factors,this paper explore the influence of buddhist culture on ornaments of the ancient Chinese women.As is known to all,the introduction of Buddhism have a profound impact on China's society,ideology,culture and art,which including the impact on the lives of women.The main performance of the influence of Buddhism in a woman's life is the creation of a series of ornaments,including makeup and hairstyles,inspired by the Buddhism culture.They created "yellow forehead makeup",Liao "Buddha makeup"and "shell bun"," flying bun" etc.,all of these series called "Buddha makeup".In this paper,we will explore the true features of the "Buddha makeup" and pursue the origin of "Buddha makeup" by combing the fragmentary historical materials.This paper consists of four chapters.The first chapter is the introduction,which describes the basis,research status,research objectives,research contents and significance of this paper.The second chapter of this paper is to sort out the early Chinese Buddhist culture and Buddhist modeling art,discusses the dissemination of Chinese Early Buddhism.Briefly introduce the time of Buddhism spread across China and the reason of prosperity of Buddhism among China.And at last explore the impact of Buddhism on Chinese society,culture and ideology.The analysis of the dissemination and development of the early Buddhist art in China,state the origin of Buddhism art and the characteristics of its development that developed in China,study the characteristics of Buddhism modeling art and the thought that "Thirty-two special face,eighty kinds of good sign" and " saint visions ".Chapter three focus on the effect of Buddhism culture on Chinese ancient women adornment aesthetic changes,which unfold from three aspects.Firstly,the Mahayana Buddhist thought of equality between men and women in Wei,Jin and southern and Northern Dynasties arose women's self-consciousness.Secondly,the change of women's aesthetic beauty,from "plain makeup" to "colorful makeup".Thirdly,the influence of "thirty-two face sign" and " saint visions" on the aesthetic concept on women.In the fourth chapter,state and analyze the influence of Buddhism culture on ancient Chinese women ornaments-"Buddha makeup",in this part,the paper divides the influence of Buddhist culture on ancient Chinese women adornment into face makeup and hairstyles.In the face makeup part,the paper firstly states and analyzes the " yellow forehead makeup "from the Buddhist art,yellow worship,poetry recorded,which restore and enrich " yellow forehead makeup "image features,and analyze the two adornment gimmicks of the" amount of makeup".Secondly,the paper discusses the "Buddha makeup",and compares the similarities and differences between "the amount of makeup" and the "Buddha makeup".In the hairstyle part,briefly describe the evolution of ancient Chinese women's hairstyle,and in-depth analyze "shell bun" and "flying bun".
