The sticking failure is one kind of form which the cutting tool expires,there appears easily the phenomenon of sticking failure when cutting difficult-to-cut material for brittleness tool.Stainless steel 1Cr18Ni9 Ti is a common kind of difficult-to-cut material,heat conduction coefficient is low,and has elongation rate and high temperature strength.Contraposing the serious problem of sticking failure of cutting tool when cutting the stainless steel 1Cr18Ni9 Ti for carbide cutting tool.YG8 is the main research object,based on the experimental study and theory analysis,the forming process and influencing factor of sticking failure are researched in the paper,and these provide references for consummating the mechanism of cutting tool's sticking failure,improving performance resisted sticking failure,increasing the life of cutting tool.First,the problem of cutting tool's sticking failure in cutting difficult-to-cut material are introduced in the paper,the significance of researching the cutting tool's sticking failure is explained.Then the research status of tool breakage at home and abroad is summarized,the machinability of stainless steel 1Cr18Ni9 Ti and the main work of this article is also introduced.Secondly,the choice of workpiece material,cutting tool material and cutting parameter in the experiment is introduced,the purpose of the experiment and the main test steps in the paper is explained.Then the emission rate of workpiece materials stainless steel 1Cr18Ni9 Ti is demarcated for the measurement of cutting temperature.Again,the orthogonal experiment for YG8 is designed,at the same time,cutting force and cutting temperature are measured.Experience formula of cutting force and cutting temperature is established for stainless steel 1Cr18Ni9 Ti,the curve of temperature range for cutting tool's sticking failure is drawed,the relationship between cutting force,cutting temperature and sticking failure is analysised.The primary and secondary relationship of level and the factor are obtained,the significant factor which affects cutting tool's sticking failure is found through the extreme different analysis of cutting temperature,and these provide basis data for the optimization of cutting parameters.The influence factors of sticking failure are analysised through cutting parameters,intermittent cutting process,cutting time,crack and wear or groove.Finally,the morphology of tool's sticking failure is observed by means of scanning electron microscopy,elemental composition in the area of tool's sticking failure is determined through energy spectrum analyzer.The condition of bond for tool-scraps and the change of bond coat' organization structure when producing sticking failure are analysised.The forming process of sticking failure is summarized after the analysis of the experiment,The whole process of sticking failure for cutting tool is observed with real time by means of High Speed Camera,then the observation of damaged process is authentic and intuitive,the mechanism of cutting tool's sticking failure is consummated further.
