Stannate material is a typical hydroxyl compound with perovskite structure.It has a strong adsorption capacity and large band gap.Therefore,stannate functional material has been extensively studied as photocatalyst,flame retardants,smoke suppressants and gas-sensitive material,and yet has not been researched in thermal catalysis.Thus in this subject,the cubic FeSnO(OH)5 micro-nano materials with different sizes and regular morphologies have been synthesized by controlling reaction temperature through a ion-exchange method using FeSO4·7H2O and Na2SnO3.4H2O as raw material.The cubic Pt/FeSnO(OH)5 catalyst prepared by impregnation method shows excellent activity of benzene catalytic combustion.And under the same conditions,the catalytic activity of Pt/FeSnO(OH)s catalyst is better than that of the commonly used Pt/?-Al2O3 catalyst.The Pt/FeSnO(OH)s catalyst is suitable for use in the catalytic combustion of low-flux VOCs(vertible organic compounds),meanwhile it also has a good performance of catalytic combustion in high flux.The temperature cycling procedure and the repeated catalytic test have almost no influence on the catalytic activity.Moreover,the Pt/FeSnO(OH)5 catalyst has such a good thermal stability that its catalytic activity do not decrease obviously after 80h catalytic test,which is benefit to its application in industry.To illuminate the relationship between the catalytic activity and the structure of the catalyst,XRD,SEM,TEM,EDS,XPS,BET,TGA and DTA have been employed for characterization.On the basis of the characterization results,we find most Pt can be reduced to metallic state when the hydroxyl catalyst is used as supporter,and the metallic Pt in Pt/FeSnO(OH)5 is more active than the oxidized Pt in Pt/?-Al2O3 in catalytic oxidation of VOCs.Besides,the amorphous Pt/(Fe-Sn-O)catalyst prepared by using Pt/FeSnO(OH)5 as precursor also shows good performance of benzene catalytic combustion.Under the same conditions,the amorphous Pt/(Fe-Sn-O)catalyst shows a better performance of benzene catalytic combustion than Pt/?-Al2O3 catalyst.The amorphous Pt/(Fe-Sn-O)catalyst is not only suitable for the catalytic combustion of low-flux VOCs material,but also it has a excellent performance of catalytic combustion in high flux.Moreover,amorphous Pt/(Fe-Sn-O)catalyst has such a favorable thermal stability that its catalytic activity will not decrease obviously for 100h,which is benefit to its application and promotion in the industry.In conclusion,we have explored the hydroxystannate material in the new field and syhthesized two novelupported Pt catalysts with excellent catalytic activity of VOCs degradation,which have a promising future in industry.
