Ternary layer structural carbide Ti3AlC2 has been a hot spot material in the future,cause of its comprehensive merits of both ceramics and metal,such as the low density,hight tensile,excellent electrical conductivity and high temperature resistance and can be used in spacecraft,submarine,automobile and other industrial fields.However,its eccentric low hardness and strength has limited its using range,to enhance the mechanical properties of the Ti3AlC2,in this paper the situ hot pressing technology combined with the solid solution strengthening and the Al2O3 dispersion strengthening strengthening mechanism were used to enhance its properties.The solid solution material of?Ti1-x,Vx?3Al C2 and the composite material?Ti,V?3AlC2/Al2O3 were respectively synthesized under 1400? and 1350?temperatures for 2h with the situ hot pressing method and which they are on the basis of TiC-Ti-Al-V and the TiC-Ti-Al-V2O5 as the raw material s ystems.The(Ti1-x,Vx)3AlC2 solid solution system shows that Ti substituted V during the solid solution process and it is indicated from that the lattice parameters and the density of the(Ti1-x,Vx)3AlC2 is gradually decreasing since the atomic size of the V is smaller than the Ti.Moreover,the mechanical properties of the solid solution are transformed with the V content increasing.The hardness and flexural strength and the flexural toughness of the?Ti0.85,V0.15?3AlC2 are 5.21 GPa,507MPa,8.57 MPa/m1/2,and enhancing 31%,19% and 37% than the single phase Ti3AlC2 material prepared by the same process.It indicates from the study of the?Ti,V?3AlC2/Al2O3 composite materials,that mass of heat energy were released from the thermit reaction between V2O5 and aluminum powder during the?Ti,V?3AlC2/Al2O3 synthesizing process,results in decreasing synthesizing temperature.It has also lead to the well distribution of the Al2O3 along the grain boundaries and the higher compactness of the matrix.The microstructures of the composite would induce crack deflection,bridging and other energy dissipation mechanisms when the material was applied stress,at last the toughness increased.However,agglomeration occurred when the content of Al2O3 was more than 10 wt.% and the properties became poorer.?Ti0.92,V0.08?AlC2/10 wt.%Al2O3 composites own the optimal mechanical properties,meanwhile,its fracture toughness,flexural strength and Vickers Hardness which could reached 12.93 MPa.m1/2,535 MPa and 5.56 GPa respectively,enhancing 108%,31% and 60% compared with the single phase Ti3AlC2 prepared by the same processing.MXene material is a kind of metallic nitride-carbide material from the corrosion of the MAX material and widely applied in electronic,composites and energy storage etc.fields.In this paper the corrosion progress of the Ti3AlC2 material was studied using corrosion Ti3AlC2 powders by HF,NaOH and HCl+LiF solution with different immersion time and temperature.And?Ti,V?3Al C2 solid solution material was also corroded by HF solution and influence of different M-X bonding types on corrosion behaviors were researched.Results are as follows: the quasi-integral two dimension Ti3C2 material with organ shape could obtain under the condition of Ti3AlC2 powder as raw material,HF as corrosion solution for 10 hours at room temperature.But the Ti3C2 structure would be damaged if the corrosion continued.The etch rate could increase as the temperature increased and the surface of the material will be oxidized under high temperature.There was no change of the Ti3AlC2 powder in NaOH corrosion solution,and in the HCl+LiF corrosion solution the Ti3AlC2 was corroded to organ shaped Ti3C2 structure but with more immersing time.In the experiment of corrosion?Ti1-x,Vx?3Al C2 with HF,the corrosion resistance increased as the content of V increased in the?Ti1-x,Vx?3Al C2 raw material contributed to the higher bonding energy of V-Al than Ti-Al.?Ti0.05V0.95?3C2 with two dimension structure can be gotten by corrosion?Ti0.05V0.95?3AlC2 with about 40 hours.Compared with Ti3C2 material corroded by HF,the lattice c of Ti3C2 obtained from HCl+LiF corrosion solution was larger,since the coexistence of the corrosion and the intercalation by entering of partial Li ion and water molecule between the Ti3C2 layer.As supercapacitor electrode material,the specific capacity of the Ti3C2 from HCl+ LiF corrosion method could reach 107F/g at a scanning rate of 100mV/s and had higher stability maintaining 97% property after cycling 8000 times,however the capacity of the Ti3C2 from HF corrosion method only reached 72F/g.
