With the increase of oilfield exploration depth,the difficulty of deep drilling is increasing,how to achieve efficient and fast drilling has become one of the main research topics in the petroleum drilling industry.Laser technology is widely used in medicine,national defense,agriculture,sc ience and many other fields.in recent years,laser drilling technology also appears in the petroleum drilling and production industry,compared to the traditional mechanical rock drilling technology,the new laser drilling technology has the characteristics of fast drilling and short period.In this paper,the indoor experimental study of laser rock technology is carried out.The work has been completed in the following areas: the development of laser rock cutting technology is reviewed.compared with the traditional drilling method,the advantages and characteristics of laser rock breaking technology are clarified,and the significance of laser rock breaking technology to mine drilling industry;the mechanism of laser cutting is analyzed,and the development trend of laser cutting is summarized;through laboratory experiment,the influence of laser power,action time,defocusing amount on laser rock fragmentation,and the difference of rock samples of different lithology in experiment.
