Titanium alloy with its light,corrosion resistance,heat resistance and large specific strength and good toughness and so on a series of advantages,titanium alloy in the aerospace,petrochemical,automotive,shipbuilding and pharmaceutical industries are widely used The However,the hard workability of titanium alloy has been plagued by a large number of national scholars,especially in high-speed cutting conditions,titanium alloy wear on the tool seriously affected the efficiency of its cutting.To improve the processing efficiency of titanium alloys,it is necessary to clarify the friction properties of the tool and the work piece material.In this paper,titanium alloy TC4 as the object of study,under different cutting conditions in the tool between the rake face and the work piece material friction modelIn this paper,the research status of friction model in high speed machining and cutting simulation at home and abroad is summarized.Then,the finite element model of two-dimensional orthogonal cutting is established by analyzing some key techniques such as material constitutive model,friction model,cutting separation model and grid partitioning technoloogy in finite element modeling of metal cutting process.The finite element simulation software Advantage FEM is used to simulate the cutting under different friction coefficients.The error between the cutting force and the cutting force measured by the different friction coefficient is compared and analyzed.5%or less to determine the average friction coefficient between the tool and the workpiece material.And then use the existing average coefficient of friction formula,under different cutting conditions,adjust the coefficient of friction coefficient in the formula of the correction factor,making the simulated cutting force and test the cutting force of the error control within 5%.According to the calculated under different cutting conditions under the average friction coefficient,the data fitting,the establishment of friction model.And then use the friction model for three-dimensional simulation,and the simulation of the data and test data for comparative analysis.Thus proving the correctness of the friction model.
