Cyclic volatile methylsiloxane(cVMS)is a kind of synthetic polymer,because of its unique physical and chemical properties,such as high thermal stability,low surface tension,lubrication and high compatibility with other materials,are widely used in cosmetics and personal care products(C&PCPs),electronic products,biological products and the other consumer goods.Due to the high yield and widely used of cVMS,continuously released into the environment,of which 90%of volatile into the air,the remaining 10%into the water environment,there have been reports that it has an adverse impact on the land and aquatic environment.Up to now,the research of cVMS in water environment is mainly concentrated in fresh water,there are few reports about cVMS in seawater,especially in China,the distribution of cVMS is very little.In this study,4 kinds of cVMS(D3-D6)as the main research object,with the Liaodong Peninsula and its adjacent waters of Bohai and north of the Yellow Sea as the main research region,from Dalian to Japan route of the sea as background,using DLLME extraction method,GC-MS analysis for target detection.To explore the concentration,spatial distribution and seasonal variation of cVMS in different sea water,and have a related fitting about the concentration and composition of cVMS in municipal wastewater,exploring the possible sources of cVMS in seawater.The seawater samples were collected from 32 sampling sites in Liaodong Peninsula and its adjacent waters for a period of two months.The results showed that the ?c VMS concentration of the studied sea area was 33820.24 ± 1214.46 ng/L,the D3-D6 average concentration of each sampling point was respectively 457.28 ± 1184.99,32.36 ± 46.66,16.19 ± 11.30,45.24 ± 16.44 ng/L.In addition to D5,the concentration of cVMS in July was higher than that in October,which indicated that the content of cVMS was higher in summer.In Dalian Bay the ?c VMS concentration was 1635.53 ng/L is the highest,the lowest concentration was 72.01 ng/L in Yingchengzi,the concentration of Dayao Bay,Xiaoyao Bay was relatively high,but in the Yellow Bohai and far away from land concentration was relatively low,indicating that the city area is the main source of cVMS.Comparing the contents of cVMS in 8 sewage treatment plants in Dalian with the surrounding seawater,it was found that the content of D5 and D6 in sewage was respectively 5.73 times and 9.61 times as much as seawater,which indicated that D5 and D6 have the same source of pollution,namely the sewage treatment plant effluent;However,the content of D3 and D4 in seawater was 7.29 times and 2.71 times more than sewage,illustrate that sewage treatment plant of the city is not the main source of D3 and D4 in the seawater,may also be other sources of pollution.In this study,there are a lot of seawater samples collected in the waters near the port of Dalian,there are many ships in the port,which are complicated and different in business types,which may cause the cVMS pollution of the marine environment.
