Rare earth resources have become an indispensable part in the global modern industrialization construction in twenty-first Century,which play the role of strategic elements in the development of high-tech,and are a treasury of high-tech and functional materials in the new century,known as the"industrial vitamin".The paper summarizes the types of rare earth ore and the content of rare earth and other components in rare earth ore through literature review.La-Ce-Tb oxide is a kind of rare earth products,mainly used as fluorescent materials,has good optical performance and good electrical properties,which widely used in high-tech materials.Through experiment,this paper explores the method to determine the content of La2O3,CeO2,Tb4O7 and the rare earth impurities in La-Ce-Tb oxide,that:1.To establish and analysis method of inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry?ICP-AES?for the determination of the content of La2O3,CeO2,Tb4O7 in La-Ce-Tb oxide by ICP-AES,Results:The method detection limit of La,Ce,Tb are 0.38,0.29,0.10?g/m L,and the recovery rates is92.01106.61%,the relative standard deviation is 0.11%0.98%,Conclusion:the method is simple and efficient,accurate and reliable,and it is suitable for accurate quantitative analysis of La2O3,CeO2,Tb4O7 in La-Ce-Tb oxide;2.To establish and analysis method of inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry?ICP-MS?for the determination of the content of rare earth impurities in La-Ce-Tb oxide by ICP-MS,finally,Results:The method detection limit of Sc,Y,Pr,Nd,Sm,Eu,Gd,Dy,Ho,Er,Tm,Yb are 0.0007,0.0002,0.003,0.00008,0.00004,0.003,0.002,0.00002,0.00002,0.00002,0.00002,0.0002?g/mL,and the recovery rates is 78.19%103.07%,the relative standard deviation is 0.70%8.46%,Conclusion:the method is simple and efficient,high sensitivity,accurate and reliable,and it is suitable for accurate quantitative analysis of the rare earth impurities in La-Ce-Tb oxide.Rare earth ore belongs to associated radioactive mineral,which contains natural radionuclides and have radioactive.It is of important significance to study the radioactivity of rare earth whether it is from the use and hazards of rare earth,or the effects of rare earth radioactivity on export trade.This paper makes a comparative analysis on the rare earth radioactivity and the radionuclides content of rare earth in different regions and different types,finally provides my own views to the existing problems and the future research direction of rare earth mining,utilization,export and other aspects.
