Copper oxides, including CuO and Cu2 O,have been widely used in Li-ion battery,water-splitting and catalysis. In this paper, the copper oxides nanowires arrays are composited with cobalt and nickel oxides to improve the capacitance through a facile chemical bath deposition progress.Meanwhile, assembling with activated carbon negative electrode, asymmetric supercapacitors show robust performance. The main results are summarized as follows:?1?The copper oxides nanowires arrays are directly grown on the surface of Cu foil through anodizing and calcination. At 1 mA cm-2,the areal capacitance of substrate can reach 96 mF cm-2.Through chemical bath deposition and calcination in argon, the CoO nanoplates are deposited on substrate.Under the condition of 5 mmol L-1,the as-obtained samples have the best capacitance, approaching 280 mF cm-2.?2?The CuO/Cu2O@NiCo2O4 is synthesized by chemical bath deposition and calcination in argon. At 0.5 mA cm-2,the areal capacitance of electrode is 435 mF cm-2.After 10000 cycles at 5 mA cm-2,the capacitance retains 93.6% of initial capacitance.?3?The NiCo2O4@CuO/Cu2 O is immersed into glucose solution of 15 g L-1 and calcinated in argon subsequently. The as-prepared CuO/Cu2O@NiCo2O4-C electrode manifests 655 mF cm-2 at 0.5 mA cm-2 and 97% of initial capacitance after 10000 cycles.?4?The CuO/Cu2O@Ni Co2O4-C positive electrode and activated carbon negative electrode are assembled. The cell voltage of asymmetric supercapapcitor is 1.5 V.The maximum energy density and power density are 36.9 ?Wh cm-2(at 2.3 mW cm-2)and 15 mW cm-2(at 26.25?Wh cm-2).After 4000 cycles, the asymmetric supercapacitor retains 91% of its initial capacitance.
