Although western medicine is widely used,but in China,traditional Chinese medicine hasn't been abandoned by people because of the small side effect of Chinese medicine compared with western medicine.As the improvement of living standards,people pay more attention to their health condition,so traditional Chinese medicine is still widely used.But there are many requirements in traditional Chinese medicine's production,storage and so on.The composition of the same kind of traditional Chinese medicine is different due to different producing areas,the production methods and growing years.Their effectiveness also are different.So the researching of chemical composition of traditional Chinese medicine is necessary.This paper first analyzed the existing technology for testing the composition of Chinese medicine,including their working principles,advantages and disadvantages.Because sample quantity needing for Raman spectroscopy detection systems is little,sample processing is simple,analysis speed is fast,so we designed a dual laser simple confocal Raman scattering detection system.From the excitation light source to the detector,their parameters were calculated respectively.In the design of the double lasers structure of the excitation light source part,a mirror and other mechanical components were used to make sure it's convenient to switch the lasers;According to the requirements of experiment we designed and selected the excitation filter,dichroic mirror,emission filter,spectrometer,grating and detector,then we had finished the double lasers Raman spectroscopy detection system.Then we had calibrated the system with the using of silicon,and took the repeatability test for 632.8 nm and 785 nm Raman spectroscopy detection system through respectively testing melamine for many times,according to the conclusions we knew that the system repeatability is good;In the detection of traditional Chinese medicine,we respectively detected the normal Raman spectrum of the slice of orange peel and the aqueous solution of orange peel and the SERS spectrum of the aqueous solution of orange peel of 8 kinds of orange peel with different years by using the 785 nm Raman spectroscopy detection system.According to the result of experiment we knew that the orange peel ingredient is different between the orange peel with the year less than five years and orange peel with the year more than seven years;In addition,the normal Raman spectrum detection and SERS spectrum detection of codonopsis pilosula solution and atractylodes aqueous solution were taken,in their SERS spectrums we had got many Raman scattering characteristic peaks,and analyzed the belongings of the Raman peaks.We had obtained good results in Chinese medicine ingredient detection by using the Raman spectroscopy detection system and SERS technology designed in this paper.It's the first time that SERS technology was used in the detection of orange peel with different years.According to the result of experiments we knew that the orange peel ingredient is different between the orange peel with the year less than five years and orange peel with the year more than seven years;we provides a new thought of the Chinese medicine ingredient detection.
