Gear is the key part of the transmission system which is widely used in mechanical transmission,because of its high transmission efficiency,speed range,transmission ratio,and other characteristics.Common gear failure forms have the bending fatigue of the tooth root and the contact fatigue of the tooth surface,and these failures usually originate from the surface of the tooth or the surface of the tooth root.Therefore,the surface quality of the gear is very important.Surface integrity includes surface conditions and surface properties which determines the service performance of parts.Surface roughness and hardness are important indicators of surface integrity.As the service performance of the gear mainly includes long life and low noise,so the design needs to integrate these needs to select the appropriate processing technology.High-speed grinding is the process of increasing the grinding removal rate and grinding quality by increasing the wheel speed.People often call the grinding process whose wheel speed vs at 45 ~ 150m/s as high-speed grinding.High-speed grinding can significantly improve the grinding efficiency and grinding quality,and extending the life of the wheel.So,it is a revolutionary change of grinding process.As the final machining process of gear tooth surface machining,the speed of the actual production of grinding has not yet reached high-speed grinding.Therefore,the research on the mechanism of high-speed grinding of gear material has important guiding significance for gear grinding process.In this thesis,18CrNiMo7-6 carburizing quenched gear steel is used for high-speed grinding process test,The main points are as flow:First,the relationship between grinding force and specific grinding energy with grinding parameters such as grinding wheel speed,grinding depth and table feed rate is analyzed and the empirical formula of grinding force is established by the measured grinding force value.The quantitative relationship between grinding parameters and grinding force is also determined.Second,a single particle simulation model was established based on AdvantEdge cutting simulation software,and the simulation results are compared with the experimental results to verify the correctness of the simulation model.Finally,the influence of high speed grinding parameters on the correlation evaluation index of surface integrity is studied.The surface roughness and hardness of the 18CrNiMo7-6 carburized quencher gear steel are investigated,and the variation of surface roughness and hardness in high speed grinding are revealed.This offers some references on the high-speed grinding for given materials.
