Blending is a common method for making phase change energy storage materials.The homogeneous energy storage material,composed of the phase change material and the matrix material,is obtained by mechanically blending.Because the process of blending is simple with low production cost,the technique has been widely paid attention by the researchers in recent years.Nowadays,the blending process is achieved by simple mixing,but it is difficult to change the internal structural characteristics of the material through this method to improve the material properties.Changing the field environment(thermal field,vacuum field and ultrasonic field)and structural characteristics of the material is a new method to improve the performance of the material that is based on the traditional mechanical blending.In this paper,a blending device based on ultrasonic assisted vacuum was designed and fabricated for the preparation of graphene nanosheets / polyethylene glycol(GNPs / PEG)phase change materials.Then the device parameters of the mechanical part is determined by multi-physics coupling analysis and the mixing and flowing characteristics of the fluidic material under different conditions,which is simulated by FLUENT software.Finally,the effectiveness of the blending drive is confirmed by the experimental results.The main contents of this paper are as follows:Firstly,using UG software to design experimental cavity of the cavity and confirming the parameters,such as cavity diameter and the thickness of the wall through multi-physics coupling simulation of ANSYS workbench,which is based on the conditions of yield strength of the cavity and the limit of susceptive pressure of the gasket ring.Secondly,we built a set of ultrasonic auxiliary vacuum mixing device with the loading body,ultrasonic generator,vacuum pump and thermocouple and other equipment,which meet the requirement of the preparation of a variety of phase change materials.Thirdly,based on the grid model built by GAMBIT,the rheological properties of composite phase change materials were simulated by FLUENT software.Furthermore,the mixing effects of the effect with different field strength(ultrasonic power and vacuum degree).Lastly,using the graphene nanosheets / polyethylene glycol(GNPs / PEG)to make thecomposite materials and testing the blending effect of the experimental equipment,and the experiment results show that different experimental conditions Thermal stability,thermal deformation resistance and thermal conductivity and other indicators will influence the material properties,which confirms results in simulation by FLUENT software.
