Traditional cationic acrylic resin has the trait of hot sticky cold short,and mechanical properties and solvent resistance are disadvantage,which limited its applications in coatings.In order to improve the thermal resistance,mechanical properties and solvent resistance of cationic acrylic resin,this research mainly used crosslinking modification idea to design the molecular structure of film.Cationic acrylic resin emulsion(CPA)was prepared via co-polymerizing different vinyl monomers.Added crosslinking agent into CPA emulsion to form CPA-ATPE composite emulsion which has the function of self-crosslinking.Performance of the emulsion and its film were tested respectively.The concrete research content followed next.Firstly,under the condition of fixed amount of monomer and monomer proportion,AIBN and AIBI had been treated as the initiator respectively,with the indexes of monomer conversion,gel ratio,stability,smell and polymer molecular weight of emulsion,the influence of the categories of the initiator,dosage and feeding modes on the polymerization process was studied;The research results showed that the AIBI had better effectiveness,the best mass fraction was 1.2%;then,the effect of W(DMAEMA)on polymer emulsion was investigated by the indicators of Zeta potential and the storage stability of the emulsion.Research showed that with the increase of dosage of DMAEMA,emulsion remain elevated for potential;when W(DMAEMA)was 3%,polymer emulsion stability was good,the Zeta potential was 14.5mV;when W(DMAEMA)exceeded 3%,basically the stability of CPA remain unchanged,the optimum W(DMAEMA)was 3%.Next,fixed dosage of DMAEMA and AIBI,the influence of the emulsifying ability,the ratio and the dosage of two kinds of compound emulsion system 1631/OS-15 and 1227/OS-15 on particle size and PDI,gel ratio,stability and appearance of CPA emulsion were studied.The results showed that the emulsifying performance of 1227/OS-15 was better.The application parameters was W(1227/OS-15)=3%,mass ratio of 1227:OS-15 was 1:2.Secondly,CPA-ATPE composite emulsion were prepared by controlling the AAEM function crosslinking monomers and adding corresponding quantity of ATPE.The structure and morphology of the film were characterized by FT-IR,XRD and AFM.Determined the particle size,Zeta potential and PDI,minimum film-forming temperature and stability of composite emulsion and hydrophilic,water absorption and mechanical strength,solvent resistance and the glass transition temperature(Tg)of composite film.The influence of the AAEM on the properties of CPA-ATPE composite emulsion and its film were discussed.Research showed that the reaction of the ketone carbonyl of AAEM of AAEM and end amino of ATPE had successfully conducted crosslinking in the CPA-ATPE composite membrane,AFM showed uniform film surface convex;compared with CPA emulsion,the average particle size of CPA-ATPE composite emulsion decreased,and tended to be more uniform dispersion,coefficient decreased,potential was electropositive,film solvent resistance,hydrophilic,water absorption,tensile and elongation at break were improved,Tg also increased slightly,heat-resisting performance was enhanced.With the increase of the amount of AAEM,the mechanical properties of the composite film enhanced,bibulous rate dropped from 67.2% to 17.8%,solvent resistance enhanced,the minimum film-forming temperature reduced from 15.8? to 13?,film-forming performance was more easier.Thirdly,series of CAP-ATPE composite emulsion was prepared by adding ATPE with different structure into CPA emulsion.Hydrophilic,water absorption,mechanical strength and solvent resistance of film were reviewed to discuss the influence of the structure of ATPE on the basic performance of CPA-ATPE compound emulsion and film.The structure and morphology of series of CAP-ATPE composite film were characterized by FT-IR and AFM.Results showed that the film series of AAEM ketone carbonyl of AAEM has conducted crosslinking with end amino of different structure of ATPE.With the growth of the molecular chain of ATPE,White spots number in AFM figure of CAP-ATPE film increased,crosslinking degree decreased,the water absorption and elongation at break increased slightly,tensile strength and contact Angledecreased,and solvent resistance dropped down slowly,so use ATPE as crosslinking agent,its molecular chain shoulds not be too long.
