Grounding grid is used to connect the electrical equipment and the earth's large-scale grounding system,which is the work,lightning protection grounding and to ensure that personal equipment,an important safety facilities.Grounding grid materials is an important guarantee for safe operation of grounding system.Grounding grid materials congenital defects restricted the rapid development of grounding system.Research and development of new grounding grid materials is one of the most urgent problems in the scientific research of power.In this study,carbon fiber was added to the graphite electrode material,carbon fiber reinforced graphite electrode material was prepared and the flexural strength and electrical conductivity of the graphite electrode material were improved.The effects of carbon fiber content,length and calcination temperature on the mechanical and electrical properties of the composites were investigated.The corrosion resistance of the composites under simulated seawater immersion was also investigated.The results show that the flexural strength of carbon fiber reinforced graphite electrode material is obviously higher than that of graphite electrode material,and the maximum flexural strength of carbon fiber reinforced fiber is increased from 63 MPa to 107 MPa,and the improvement rate is 70%.The addition of carbon fiber makes the electrical conductivity of carbon fiber reinforced graphite electrode material larger than that of graphite electrode material.The main factors affecting the electrical conductivity of carbon fiber reinforced graphite electrode materials are the calcination temperature..The main factors influencing the flexural strength of carbon fiber reinforced graphite electrode materials are the calcination temperature.The carbon fiber reinforced graphite electrode material prepared by pulverized carbon fiber,11% carbon fiber and 900?calcination temperature has the largest flexural strength,and the maximum value is 107 MPa.The carbon fiber reinforced graphite electrode material was prepared by pulverized carbon fiber,the addition of carbon fiber was 8% and the calcination temperature was 1200?.The maximum conductivity was 314.27S/cm.The optimum conditions of the experiment are 2% carbon fiber,400 mesh carbon fiber and 900? calcination temperature.The mechanical and electrical properties of the prepared material are good and the economic benefits are good.The corrosion resistance of carbon fiber graphite electrode material was simulated by seawater immersion,and the weight loss occurred after 15 days simulated seawater immersion.In the flexural strength of 107 MPa,for example,carbon fiber reinforced graphite electrode material before soaking,after mass,respectively 3.8490 g,3.8451 g,the corrosion rate is calculated based on the graphite electrode material and depth method of weight loss formula is 0.008g/(m2·h),Corrosion depth of 0.046mm/a,are corrosion-resistant materials.X-ray diffraction(XRD)revealed that the graphite particles were obviously rearranged before and after corrosion,and the conductivity of the materials decreased after rearrangement.
