With the rapid development of nanotechnology, nanomaterial manufacturing has achieved huge success and its production scale has been constantly expanding.Metal-based nanomaterials have been applied in many fields,as a result, nanomaterials released into the environment in the process of producing, using and packaging, interacted with plants, further caused a series of unpredictable bio-effects.In the present study,we investigated four nanomaterials including iron oxide nanoparticles(Fe2O3 NPs),silver nanoparticles(Ag NPs),copper oxide nanoparticles(CuO NPs),and titanium oxide nanoparticles(TiO2 NPs).The tested plants is peanut to study the effects of different nanomaterials on the peanut plants growth, yield and nutritional quality.Inductively coupled plasma mass spectroscopy(ICP-MS),transmission electron microscopy(TEM),and Energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDS)were used to observe the accumulation and distribution of nanomaterials in peanut tissues. The main works and results are as follows:(1)As compared to the control and ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid-Fe(EDTA-Fe)exposure,adding Fe2O3 NPs in soil, increased the shoot dry biomass, plant height, root length, chlorophyll content,as well as plant total iron content in the peanut. The EDS results show that Fe2O3 NPs in soil are adsorbed onto soil particles, and improve the effectiveness of iron.Fe2O3 NPs might provide iron nutrition for plants in place of traditional Fe fertilizer.(2)Soil amended with 50,500 and 2000 mg·kg-1 Ag NPs inhibited the growth of peanut plants;significantly increased Ag concentration of peanut shoots, roots, and grains;antioxidant enzyme activities and its isozymes expressed of peanut roots and grain significantly increased,as well as Ag NPs exposure affect the relative fatty acid(FA)content in grains, and reduction of crop yield, suggested that the presence Ag NPs may be alter the crop quality.(3)CuO NPs exposure inhibited plant growth and peanut pod biomass, reduced grain yield, seed size and plumpness;mainly unsaturated fatty acids(UFA)were decreased.Fe2O3 NPs and TiO2 NPs exposure has stimulatory effect on peanut growth.Fe2O3 NPs reduced grain yield, seed size and plumpness;TiO2 NPs increased grain yield, but reduced seed size and plumpness.UFA content was increased exposure to Fe2O3 and TiO2 NPs.The content of amino acid was significantly reduced by three nanomaterials. The synthesis of resveratrol in peanut grains was significantly higher in CuO and TiO2 NPs compared with that in the control. This study shows that three nanomaterials have significant effects on edible parts of peanut.
