Rare earth elements have some very unique properties, such as light, electricity, magnetic, and they have an important role in modern science and technology. Thus developing a new type of material recycling of rare earth elements become the present related people new concerns. In recent years, the surface of the ion imprinting technology is used widely in industrial wastewater treatment. In this paper, the surface of the ion imprinting technique was used to prepare new molecularly imprinted adsorbent. In this paper,La???-IIP-PEI/SiO2 and La???-IIP-PEI/MCM-41,respectively,were synthesized with SiO2 and MCM-41 as the carrier, and the polyethylene imine as the functional monomer. And the same procedure was developed to synthesize new Yb???-imprinted polymers,Yb???-IIP-CMC/MCM-41 and Yb???-IIP-PEI/MCM-41,with the chitosan and polyethylene imine as the functional monomer, and MCM-41 as the carrier. In order to study their adsorption performance, the adsorbents were characterized by SEM-EDS,FTIR,TGA,etc,and a series of static adsorption experiments, coming to conclusions as follows:?1?The adsorption capacity of La???-IIP-PEI/MCM-41 is 2.26 times of La???-IIP-PEI/SiO2.This demonstrates that,to a certain extent, using MCM-41 as tha carrier can increase the adsorption capacity of ion imprinting polymers.Quasi-second-order kinetics model can describe the adsorption mode of La???-IIP-PEI/SiO2 and La???-IIP-PEI/MCM-41 better than quasi-first-order kinetics model.Adsorption reaction rate is determined by the diffusion of lanthanum ions into the adsorbent surface and from the surface into the internal functional structure of the adsorbent.Their adsorption processes are more consistent with the Langmuir isothermal adsorption model and are described as endothermic reactions.Scatchard analysis showed that there were two different types of adsorption sites for La???adsorption. Finally, experiments show that they have a good ability to specifically identify La???,and good reproducibility.?2?Experiments show that the quasi-second-order kinetic model can better describe the adsorption modes of Yb???-IIP-CMC/MCM-41 and Yb???-IIP-PEI/MCM-41.At the same time, the results obtained by multiple linear fitting according to the intra-particle diffusion model show that the adsorption reaction rate is determined by the diffusion of Yb???into the adsorbent surface and from the surface into the internal functional structure of the adsorbent. The results of isothermal adsorption show that the adsorption pattern of the two is more consistent with the Langmuir isothermal adsorption model,?G<0.Scatchard analysis showed that there were two different types of adsorption sites for Yb???adsorption in Yb???-IIP-CMC/MCM-4 and Yb???-IIP-PEI/MCM-41,respectively.Finally,selective adsorption experiments show that they have a good ability to specifically identify Yb???,The selectivity of Yb???-IIP-CMC/MCM-4 was better than that of Yb???-IIP-PEI/MCM-41,and both had stable adsorption performance and good reproducibility.
