Sulfonated graphene nanosheets(sGNS)with excellent aqueous dispersion stability and conductivity were successfully prepared from graphite powder through interlayer oxidation,chemical exfoliation,stepwise reduction and diazotization reaction.The composites of sulfonated graphene nanosheets-supported polyaniline(sGNS/PANI)were synthesized by an interfacial polymerization method in the presence of the sGNS.And the influence of aniline concentration,reaction time,oxidant type and content on the chemical composition,microstructure and electrochemical performance of the composites were investigated systematically.The formation mechanism of the sGNS/PANI composites was also revealed.The results showed that the interfacial polymerization method restrained the second growth and agglomeration of PANI in the polymerization process.Hierarchical composites of sulfonated graphene-supported vertically aligned polyaniline nanorods were formed due to the strong ?-? interaction between sGNS and PANI and the doping effect of sulfonic acid group on the PANI,which was beneficial to enhanced supercapacitive performance of sGNS/PANI composites.It could be found that the comprehensive electrochemical performance of composites reached to the best using the aniline concentration of 0.07M at the APS/Aniline mole ratio of 2/1 in the HClO4 solution when the reaction time was more than 24 hours.The specific capacitance of this composite exhibited a maximum value of 497.3 F/g.Furthermore,this composite possessed the superior rate performance and excellent cycling stability(94.3%capacitance retention after 2000 cycles).We also have synthesized the GONS/PANI composite using graphene oxide nanosheets(GONS)as substrate by an interfacial polymerization method.In contrast to GONS/PANI composite,sGNS/PANI composite possessed better rate performance and cycle stability because of high conductivity of sGNS.Therefore,sGNS/PANI composite is more suitable candidate for supercapacitor material.
