Cyanoacrylate adhesive(CA)is one kind of the most widely used medical adhesives,which is used for fixation,hemostasia,blocking the leak and so on.It develops rapidly and solves the insoluble traditional problems.So it has rasied considerable concern.Compared with other tissue adhesives,it is monomer and has attributes of rapid solidification and high bond strength,low toxicity and good biocompatibility.In clinical application,it has become one of the best auxiliary materials.Although our country has made some achievements in this respect,the CA adhesive in market still can not satisfy the requirements now.For example,the flexibility is not very good,neither the curing rate,which makes its application limited.Reformations for CA adhesive are studied in the dissertation,with the purpose of improving its integrated optimal performance.By investigating effect of ratios of raw materials,catalysts contents,reactive time and P2O5 contents on the yield of butyl a-cyanoacrylate monomer,the optimal experiment scheme was determined.The result showed the molar ratio of butyl cyanoacetate and paraformaldehyde was 1:1,catalysts contents were 1.25%,reactive time was 2 hours,and P2O5 contents were 5%.Adopting condensation and cracking under high temperature reaction,the highly purifyied butyl a-cyanoacrylate monomer was synthesized with using butyl cyanoacetate and paraformaldehyde,and then medical adhesive was prepared.Citrate esters including EBC,TBC,ATBC were used as plasticizers to modify medical adhesive.Effect of plasticizer contents on toughness,curing speed,bonding force of medical adhesives was studied.When the dosage of plasticizers was 10%,toughening effect was remarkable,bending proof performance was outstanding and heat-release performance was not obvious.Polyethylene glycol dimethyl ether,diethylene glycol dimethyl ether,propylene glycol monomethyl ether and ethylene glycol monobutyl ether were used as curing accelerator,influence of curing accelerator contents and species on curing speed and storage stability of medical adhesives was inspected.The result showed the curing speed was improved effectively with the 1%polyethylene glycol dimethyl ether.The curing time reduced by 38 percent,on the contrary the curing rate was significantly improved.Simultaneously,its stability was good.In consequence this kind of medical adhesives was available for embolism.The results of biological assessment showed medical adhesive was safe.No hemolytic reaction,no sterile growth,non-toxic and no skin stimulation were confirmed.The butyl?-cyanoacrylate adhesive could meet the using requirements of medical adhesive.
