In this paper,the arils of two pomegranate cutivar,‘Tunisia soft-seeded'(main cultivar in Xingyang,Henan province)and ‘Dongyan'(slection-breeded by Henan Agriculture University)were treated with different postharvest methodto study their effects on the aril quality of fresh-cut pomegranate.The heat treatment(hot air treatment)were designed as 40??45? and 50? for one hour,denoted by Th1,Th2 and Th3,respectively.Vacuum packaging treatment was completed by DZQ series pumping vacuum packaging machine(Shanghai Yu Te Packaging Machinery Co.Ltd.)at 1.5,2 and 2.5 three different degrees of the machine,recorded as Tv1,Tv2 and Tv3 respectively.Aerating packaging treatment was carried out by pumped into mixed gas(25% CO2 +75% N2),pure CO2 and pure N2,labeled as Tg1,Tg2 and Tg3.After treatment,the arils were stored at(5±0.5)? and room temperature(18±2)?.The sensory quality were observed at regular,and the relative conductivity,weight loss,soluble solids content,p H,titratable acid content,anthocyanin content and it's color value.were evaluated to study the treatments effects on aril quality to find an effective treatment to extend the pomegranate arils storagelife and maintain its fresh quality.The test results are as follows:(1)The rise of relative conductivity and p H value was inhabited by Th1 treatment.At the same time,the contents of SSC,titratable acid and anthocyanin can be effectively maintained,but the storage time of treatment Th1?Th2 and Th3(‘Tunisia soft-seeded': 3d,0d and 0d,‘Dongyan' : 9d,6d and 3d)compared with CK(‘Tunisia soft-seeded' 12d;‘Dongyan' 15d)are shortened(‘Tunisia soft-seeded': 9d,12 d and 12 d,‘Dongyan':6d,9d and 12d),when stored at(5±0.5)?;while stored at room temperature(18±2)?,the heat treatments not only reduce the sensory quality,but also the commod value has been lost in the storage of 3d,while CK still has the commod value when storage 3d.As a conclusion,heat treatment is not recommended for the pomegranate aril postharvest treatment.(2)The rise of weight loss rate and relative conductivity was inhabited by Tv1 treatment.At the same time,the contents of anthocyanin and titratable acid can be effectively maintained,but there was no significant effect on the color.And the storage time of treatment Tv1(18d)compared with CK(12d)are extended(6d)for‘Tunisia soft-seeded',but for ‘Dongyan',the storage time of treatments Tv1 and Tv2(21d and18d)compared with CK(15d)are extended(6d and3 d,respectively),when stored at(5±0.5)?;while stored at room temperature(18±2)?,The rise of weight loss rate and relative conductivity was inhabited by appropriate aerated packaging treatment.At the same time,the contents of titratable acid and SSC can be effectively maintained,and anthocyanin was improved.Although storage duration was not extended(3d),higher sensory quality was maintained compared with the CK group.Comprehensive analysis indicated that Tv1 group was best results.(3)The rise of p H value and relative conductivity was inhabited by Tg1 treatment.At the same time,the contents of titratable acid can be effectively maintained,but the color was not significantly affected;And the storage time of treatment Tg3(‘Tunisia soft-seeded':15d,‘Dongyan':21d)compared with CK(‘Tunisia soft-seeded'12d;‘Dongyan' 15d)are extended(3d and 6d,respectively),when stored at(5±0.5)?;while stored at room temperature(18±2)?,The rise of weight loss rate and relative conductivity was inhabited by Tg3 treatment.At the same time,the contents of titratable acid can be effectively maintained,and anthocyanin was improved.Although storage duration was not extended(3d),higher sensory quality was maintained compared with the CK group.Comprehensive analysis indicated that Tv1 group was best results.Comprehensive analysis indicated that Tg3 group was best results.
