Syngas is an important base material in chemical industry,a mount of H20 exists in the synthetic gas will influnce process of production and delivery. Before subsequent procedure, the syngas should be dehydrated. In this paper, the traditional dehydration process with organic solvent is analyzed.Based on many advantages of IL such as no vapor pressure, good physical and chemical stability and the characteristics of structural properties can be control, and synthesized simulation and experiment.Optimal absorbent ionic liquid is selected to replace the traditional solvent. So that the goal of optimizing the process continuable and saving energy can be achieved.A large number combination of cations and anions are screened by COSMO-RS model.Comprehensive considerated the selectively and other properties, the most suitable IL was choosen as absorber for synthesis gas dehydration, with static method to measure Under the 313.15 K,333.15 K,353.15 K and 0 to 7 MPa,the gas-liquid equilibrium data of CO2 and H2 of in[EMIM][Tf2N]and water +[EMIM][Tf2N]mixed solvent(2%H2O + 98%IL)were measured by static method. The CO and H2 solubility data in the ionic liquid and the selectivity of syngas to water were obtained.Experimental proved when using[EMIM][Tf2N]as solvent to absorb moisture in syngas, the separation result was improved and the syngas dehydration process was optimizated. In a word, ionic liquid is a kind of potential environmentally friendly absorbent, and by using the advantages of Ionic Liquids supplement the traditional organic solvent deficiency. It is conducive to syngas drying process. In this paper,UNIFAC model was used, and the parameter of IL was fitting into Aspen Plus.Using ionic liquids as absorbing agent in syngas dehydration process was simulated. This process was compared with conventional Rectisol process, and the process syngas dehydration process with ionic liquid was optimizated in order to strengthen its dehydration ability. This work could provide research foundation for the subsequent for the gas dehydration with ionic liquids research and industrial application.
