Amides are essentially valuable in medicinal and synthetic organic chemistry.?-keto amides in particular can be used as precursors for obtaining various heterocyclic compounds. The difluoroboron(BF2)complexes of ?-diketonates,can act as photochemical reagents. In recent years, various BF2 complexes of ?-diketonates,?-keto amides and ?-keto esters have been synthesized. However,an investigation of malonamide-type BF2 complexes is very rare.In the first study,difluoroboron(BF2)complexes were synthesized from 2-cyanodiazoacetanilides and boron trifluoride etherate. The boron trifluoride etherate serves as a catalyst as well as a reactant. In the second study,difluoroboron(BF2)complexes synthesized were successfully converted into ?-keto amides(malonamides)upon treatment with sodium acetate.Generally the methods were successful since the target products were achieved in satisfactory yields. These methods offer an efficient route to synthesize amides of the malonamide-type of compounds...
